Did You Vote for Obama? What do you think now?

Updated on June 22, 2015

2012 Election Information for Women Voters

The headlines from Reuters this morning: “Obama easily beating Romney among US women.” Apparently their most recent study shows that US women favor Obama by a 14% margin over Mitt Romney. Historically women tend to favor the democratic candidates in Presidential elections. I, myself a woman, understand this to some degree but I also realize we cannot choose our president strictly by our heart strings. We need to look at the issues and see the bigger picture. I would like to share some of my age related enlightenment with my fellow women voters.

Democrats say they are the candidates for women’s issues but are they really? Since Obama took office more women are unemployed, women are paying more for gas, women are paying more to feed their children, and the women who actually work in the Obama administration make less money than their male counter parts. How is any of this favorable to women?

Health Care for all through “Obamacare” doesn't help most women either. If you are a working woman with insurance benefits through your employer, under “Obamacare” you may very well have to pay more than you are now to continue those same benefits. If you are a woman with a bleeding heart and you are saying “well what about all of those people that do not have insurance, we need to make sure they have coverage too.” You are right there are certain groups of people that we as a society need to help, the frail, the very elderly, the mentally or physically incapable etc… But do you want to work 40 hours a week so part of your benefit payments can be used to insure those who are too lazy to get out there and work for themselves? I don’t!

Mitt Romney is a very successful business man. He has lead many companies into fiscal success. I would much prefer a business man with proven business success to run our great nation than a glorified public speaker who may know how to talk the talk but has proven to be a dismal failure at the walk. Obama has failed miserably when it comes to the business of running our country.

Please my fellow women voters – choose the candidate that has the proven business success and ability to bring our nation out of this terrible economic failure wrought by Obama. Don’t vote with your heartstrings – you won’t be feeling very warm and fuzzy with 4 more years of $5.00/gallon gas, higher grocery bills, and the ever increasing Government debt we are guaranteed should Obama win another term.
