Obama - Campaign Difficulties 2012
Is the Media Love Affair with Obama Over?
The Liberal leaning media seems to be losing a little of the Obama love lately. In the past three years Americans have grown accustomed to hearing only glorious love notes from major media when it comes to news on Obama. They often make news out of nothing just to have the chance to sing the praises of their Liberal leader.
The new trend in big media seems to be not as favorable to Obama as it once was. It used to be that they would spin the numbers to make every story about Obama a positive one. Anything to praise the prince of liberal news. Lately the tactic has changed ever so slightly but it is still noticeable.
The Sun Times out of Kenosha Wisconsin on June 4th 2012, reported that the recall election between Republican Scott Walker and his Democratic challenger Tom Barrett was "neck and neck" even though the Republicans had "outspent the Democrats $48 million to $19 million." Today it was revealed that the spending difference between the Republicans and the Democrats was truly only $400,000.00 for the entire year that the recall was active. Media purveyors are asking out loud - "would it have helped Barrett if President Obama would have stopped in to offer support?" They are also commenting on the fact that Obama flew over Wisconsin twice on Friday and could have easily stopped in to add a little muscle to the Democratic cause - but he did not.
We have been hearing for the last three years how the unemployment numbers were down for the previous month and the economy was improving. All hail Obama and his wonderful service to our country - that is what they were hoping we would take away from this news. Those of us who pay attention knew that the numbers were fluffed to sound good and things were really not as sunny as the media made it appear. Now the media is telling us that the data, once all the numbers were in, is not looking as bright as previously broad-casted and the unemployment levels are actually worse instead of better.
Last week Kathleen Parker of the Washington Post wrote "The Democratic Party's demonization of the rich won't wash as long as the president shares the stage with Hollywood and such billionaires are deemed acceptable." She makes a great point - Obama is spending lots of time hob knobbing with the "rich" actors of Hollywood and Music fame. How can he on the one hand say the "rich" are evil but yet he takes their money to further his campaign agenda and even has dinner with these folks as though they are his friends. The point of interest here is that the media is even telling us about these things now that the honeymoon is over.
Why the change - are the Liberal Media folks getting wise or are they just growing tired of the dismal failures of Obama like the rest of us are?
Obama Girl no longer crushing on Obama!
The latest headlines are blasting "Obama Girl not so hot on Obama." Amber Lee Ettinger aka the Obama Girl from 2008 has stated publicly that she is not so excited about Obama in 2012. You may recall Amber from her "Crush on Obama" You Tube video. Obama was wildly popular with the younger crowd in the last election. Sounds like that may not be the case in 2012.
The Honeymoon is Over for some Democrats too!
Former President Bill Clinton has been in the news recently on what we could call the "Bash Obama" tour. He stated on television for all to hear that Obama was wrong in not extending the Bush tax cuts. He stated that Mitt Romney, the guy Obama is bashing for "bad business" is actually a "very good business man." Now it is hard to say as to whether or not Clinton is starting to tire of Obama or if he is possibly still holding a grudge from the 2008 elections when Obama accused Clinton of being "racist" and proceeded to take the Democratic nomination away from Hillary.
Senator Ron Wyden (D) from Oregon is being vocal about his recent displeasure with Obama. Wyden and more than 60 House Democrats are up in arms about the proposed Obama Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP). This TPP is a huge international trade agreement that will have tremendous effects on consumers from coast to coast. According to the Oregon Senator, President Obama and his administration are"going out of their way to keep Congress uniformed on this massive deal with foreign countries. Not a good way to keep your fellow Democrats happy Mr. President.
Fox News reporter and Democratic supporter Joe Trippi reported on June 11, 2012 that he too felt that Obama's chances for re-election were not looking great. He sites Obama's recent comments that "The private sector is doing fine" definitely did damage. At a time when the economy is struggling and unemployment is at record highs - it is not wise for the sitting president to say we are doing "fine" when we are not.
Trippi also mentions the Scott Walker win in Wisconsin as a negative for Obama. It was not what Democrats and proponents of big Government were hoping for. Trippi did blame the Walker win on outspending by the Republicans but I'd venture to add that Walker was a refreshing change that the majority in Wisconsin were waiting for.
Trippi ends his article with this line "as a Democrat who wants to see Barack Obama re-elected, there is no denying that the pendulum is moving in the wrong direction." Sounds like he is losing hope for that Hope and Change we were all promised in 2008.

Obama-Care is a TAX
Well Obama was adamant that his Health Care Plan was "NOT a TAX", He said it many, many times. In fact he could not have gotten the Bill passed if it were a "tax" as he did not have the necessary 51% vote that is required to pass a new tax on to the American citizens. That doesn't sit well for Obama. If it is a new tax then it is Constitutionally sound but the Republicans can demand a new vote and it is unlikely to get the needed 51% approval. But since Obama said over and over "This is not a tax" what does he say now? Obama-care has been deemed a Constitutionally sound TAX but it is still a terrible idea for the American tax payer. Not a good declaration for Mr. Obama at all.
Obama's Unemployment verses Disability Numbers
Since 2009 when Obama officially took over - he has been given credit for his economy creating 2.6 million jobs. During this same time period 3.1 million people signed up for disability benefits. According to News.investors.com the unemployment numbers for June 2012 are just as terrible. The economy created 80,000 jobs for the month - all in the private sector. BUT for the same time period 85,000 workers left the working class and signed up for disability benefits. Obama is creating a "Nanny" state if there ever was one.
Romney and Obama - Polls Very Close
Recent polls in the Presidential race show Romney and Obama are neck and neck. Previous polls were showing Obama was ahead by reasonable numbers earlier this year. According to Gallup that is no longer the case. Gallup polled 3050 registered voters over the phone, asking "Suppose the presidential election were held today. If Barack Obama were the Democratic Party's candidate and Mitt Romney were the Republican Party's candidate, who would you vote for Barack Obama, the Democrat or Mitt Romney, the Republican?" The results show 46% Obama and 45% Romney with a margin error rate of plus/minus 3 percentage points. It is nearly unheard of for an incumbent president to not have a more substantial lead in the polls. This is definitely not a plus for Obama
Romney choose Paul Ryan as his VP running mate, this is an awesome choice. Any American citizen who is concerned about the economy will be excited about the prospective future of a Romney/Ryan team in the White House come January.
Where Do We Go From Here?
Media is reporting that Obama is asking future newlyweds to ask wedding guests to send a contribution to his campaign in lieu of a wedding gift - how desperate and tacky can it get. Well it got even more tacky - now the Dems are sending out e-mails to supporters to "skip pizza night" and "send that money to the Obama campaign." Hopefully this trend of the Liberal Media telling a little bit of the truth will continue. I won't be holding my breath though. If Obama continues to push his own agenda and walk all over his supporters he will soon have no one left to defend his degradation of this wonderful nation. Wouldn't hurt my feelings at all if more folks start to see what he is all about and start moving away from him. He is not a leader and this country deserves so much more from it's President.
2012 Presidential Debate
October 3, 2012 - tonight was the first Presidential Debate between Romney and Obama. Romney absolutely nailed it! He looked very Presidential, he was upbeat and positive about what he wants to do for America. Obama, on the other hand, looked beat down and unprepared. He cannot defend his three plus years in the White House - his record stinks and that is all there is to it. Even Chris Matthews was disappointed in the performance of Obama tonight.
