   Ron Paul (and all the other legitimate candidates) gets overlooked by the mass media simply because the mass media can choose to do that.  Nothing says that any media HAS to report on good solid legitimate candidates, that is the myth about the media.  The media can choose to ignore folks, and in fact does so frequently, simply because it is to the best advantage of those who pay them to ignore folks whose opinions might be a legitimate counter-argument to the agenda they are pushing.
   On the other hand, we live in interesting times, and a new mass media 'the internet' is emerging.  That media is not (YET) constrained by those who seek to control our thoughts, and is becoming a forum for discussion and interchange at something other than the passive reception level we've become accustomed to with television, radio, and cable.  Places like HubPages provide outlets for those who are actively thinking about the best ways to go about solving our problems.  This media is still young and encourages folks to get involved and share their own thoughts rather than sit back and wait to have our thoughts fed to us by others.
   Remember in November 2012.

   He's not "looked over", he's purposefully ignored. This is because mainstream media's are all owned by elite mogules who run the world and they know that "any news is good news", so it does no good to make him look bad. Their only choice to keep him down is to ignore him as much as possible and to fake results about his popularity. Though thanks to amateur medias and the internet, they are having an extremely hard time keeping RP in the shadows

   I'm excited about this dialogue because it raises good questions about NOT just Ron Paul's (and other candidates') ideas, but about the sometimes-mysterious motives behind mass media's choice to censor particular items in the news. It makes me wonder how they might benefit from this censorship - money? advertisement (or... manipulation of the masses)?
