Who should be on trial the homeowner or the lawyer/judge who allowed him to be on the streets?
Recently in Las Vegas a man was shot 4 times and killed attempting to break into a home, just 3 days after he was released from jail for home invasion. He has also been arrested numerous times prior to that for burglary, attempted burglary and grand larceny. Should the homeowner be arrested for protecting his property or should we hold the lawyer/judge who allowed a mutliple offender to be back on the streets accountable for the death?
It seems like the wrong decision was made in releasing him but you can;t hold people for ever and I am not aware how long he served, but the killer should still be on trial, the law is clear about when it is appropriate to use lethal force, preventing the loss of a DVD player isn't it especially not with four shots, that is inappropriate use of lethal force AND excessive force.
