Why is Anaheim California under Marital Law? July 31, 2012
Very little is being said in the main stream media regarding a city in the USA being under Martial Law. They were under media blackout. What is up?
I haven't heard anything about martial law. People have been protesting the shooting of an unarmed man that happened about 9 days ago. These protests have evidently drawn a very heavy police presence. It doesn't really seem much different from some of the reactions to the Occupy movement, which have also been poorly covered by the media (if covered at all).
We have been silently accepting the increased militarization of our police forces, along with erosions in civil liberties, for a decade now. This is unfortunate, it isn't surprising.
junkseller, thank you for this thoughtful answer. We are lucky that not everyone is so accepting of the militarization of the police, and erosion of civil liberties. Thanks again.
Well, the police shot and killed a man. They shot him in the back like cowards, like murderers, like armed thugs.
You see, the man knew the police were the kinds of persons that shoot people in the back, and so he didn't want to talk to them....ironically, they shot him in the back and killed him for not wanting to talk to people likely to shoot you in the back and kill you, for not wanting to talk.
Incidentally, the town was angered for having a man shot in the back and killed by armed thugs, cowards, police - for simply not wanting to talk to armed cowards, thugs, the police.
So the solution, you see, in the eyes of our federal government...was to send in more police. Isn't that brilliant? Our federal government is so full of brilliance, it startles the mind.
Thank you Wesman Todd Shaw. I appreciate your frank answer. Write on!.
Yeah, what is up?
6386 TV stations, and I first hear of martial law on HubPages?
YES, what is up?
I, need a bit more, than he was shot in the back...................like, what was he running from?
There was a brief YouTube video posted in Twitter, it was someone holding a piece of notebook paper saying Anaheim was under Martial Law, and there was a media blackout.
It's so great that you are all so worried about what the police are wearing rather than about what the gang bangers are doing that leads to these shootings. Martial law has to be declared, and hasn't been. So there is no martial law in Anaheim. Just because the police are wearing riot gear to deal with the out of control protesters who don't do anything to change the gangland lifestyle of their children and friends doesn't mean they are acting like the military. Why not protest gangs rather than the police doing their best to keep the streets safe for the non-gang citizens?

What do you think about the law recently passed by the supreme court, in Indiana which recently went into effect, stating the police can enter your home illegally, and you can not resist. They further state, you can later hire a lawyer to sue them (of course it will be at your expense)Is this not a...

Any bets on when Marshal Law will be declared in America? An over view of the trends from finance to executive orders to unexplained apparently unneeded infrastructure seems to suggest the willingness and ability by the govt to shut down the Internet and declare Marshal Law.One of the last few...
