What do you want the President to do if elected, or reelected?

If Obama is reelected, what do you think he should do in the next four years? If Mitt Romney becomes the next President, what should he be doing? Why do you think so?

Ideally, Obama, if reelected, would meet a moral epiphany, confess his crimes, resign in shame, and return to live out his life in ignominy in Chicago serving up soup at a homeless shelter in a futile attempt to atone for his many transgressions. The problem there is that would leave us with that buffoon Biden in the presidency, and so the ideal would not be a good outcome here. Short of that, Obama's having to deal with a congress both houses of which were controlled by veto-proof majorities of the other party would be poetic justice.

If Romney is elected, I would want him to cut spending dramatically, stop waging continuous war in foreign lands that by mere coincidence have substantial supplies of strategic natural resources, start cutting regulation and taxation, and in a thousand other ways put the federal monster on a crash diet. Were he to do that, he would be unlikely to be reelected to a second term, or even to live long enough to run for it, so once again the ideal is not what we will see.

The reason I think along those lines is that America cannot survive a monolithic, totalitarian national state, which is what Washington is building. I would like to see that process halted and reversed, and so I would dream that the next president would do what he should to further than end.

Veto, veto, veto. If the two parties won't work together, or work with him, veto everything. Then they have to collaborate and compromise to pass any legislation. Including the budget.

I just want whomever it is to sit in their white house for four years and shut up.

Think we could get 'em to give up some of their bloated staff and bennies if they do?

I don't, but at least they won't be out looking for adventures. It is not written anywhere that every president has to make a splash somehow.

He must immediately end the inprisonment and torture of Bradley Manning.

He must stop persecuting whistle-blowers who are exposing war crimes of the United States.  He must own up to those war crimes and stop them from happening again.

He must stop authorising drone attacks on Pakistani villages.  He must bring America up to speed with the rest of the civilised world and end of the archaic practice of the death penalty.

He must be a man, and live up to his mandate of supposedly being a anti-war, anti-aggression president.

Defend and Promote the USofA, rather than apologize for US, and our place in the world.

WHO, rushes in when we have a crisis?
Katriana, Issac, rampant wildwires, massive floods, or droughts?.................WHO comes to our aid?

Yet, we go to Haiti, Japan, Ethiophia, and so on.....................

If the world wants a big brother.............then the world should act accordingly.

I make NO apologies, and I have NOT authorized any president to do so on my behalf.
