Do you believe character assassination works?

Since the internet, we all can read about devious plots that have been instigated to mess with our sense of decency, right and wrong. Project Mockingbird was apparently set up by the CIA to sway our minds, and allow certain factions to do things, which otherwise would have been unacceptable to the masses. Case in point: Fox News, which is in the business of trying to bring down the president of the USA--this is subversion, plain and simple. Why do we allow it?

Most of the time it works. Both Republicans and Democrats do it...we want to believe there's a big difference between the two, but it's not so. They both work for themselves and those that promise them power, influence, and money. All news networks are up to their eyeballs in it, including Fox News and all the leftist networks. Meanwhile, the average guy on the street is the one who suffers. The government no longer benefits the people and is therefore a parasite.

Please direct me to a leftist network...I would watch it in a second. They banned RT and that other one...can't think of it. And no one ever accused a white republican president of "hating America", like they do Obama. No comparison, IMO.

Umm...CNN, MSNBC, etc...I think you mistake me for defending Republicans or something...I'm not. Both parties make me sick. White or black, past presidents and political leaders have done much to violate the Constitution.

I don't consider those left. I consider those middle. That is why some of the analysts I love to read have had to move to out of country television.Their views are not allowed here. This country couldn't handle real freedom. We're too used to servitude.

I guess it's a matter of mere opinion then. I consider those networks leftist, but you do not. I agree that we are used to servitude...in fact it's quite comfortable for most. As long as the people are divided, we will not come out from under slavery

I so disagree. What we need to do is destroy the sickness of greed. You cannot "get along" with egomaniacs, or psychopaths. I suggest an island for them: or maybe shoot them off to the moon. There, they can fight each other for more and more and more

Your proposed solutions reveal desperation on your part, as those things are obviously not possible. It is frustrating, as a level of greed will always be with us...it's human.

I don't think it is human. I think it comes from somewhere else. I think inhumanity to man is something else working in and through us. That has always been my opinion, even as a little kid. I don't believe we are naturally evil.

This is the reason we have the first amendment. It's for a peaceful revolution.

You have freedom of speech so you can tell people the government is corrupt.

You have freedom of the press so you can publish in the media that the government is corrupt.

You have freedom to peaceably assemble and protest a corrupt government.

You have freedom of religion so you have morals and you know when and how the government is corrupt.

According to the first amendment it is totally ok for the media and the people in general to use these methods to bring down the president.

Sure--you can protest gvt, but not Wall Street. And you can protest, but if you protest a  Rep, you get to have those lovely black helicopters and thugs w guns on their back surrounding you. Or you get cages to protest in. Jail, mace, pepper spray.

SUBVERSION? Really? I'm thinking that your ideal governmental structure would be a king ruling over all the subjects...at least that is the attitude your question conveys.

As Snowman said, the First Amendment is there for our protection...protection from what people like you would like to do...take away the freedom to say what we please. Love, please do everyone a favor and read up on the rights that our Constitution was created to preserve.

Oh malarkey! I am banned form the forums here because people don't like what I have to say. Guess what they tell me? Owners can do as they like. So--I guess business owners trump free speech? Certainly do. Yes, subversion. Making him an enemy of USA.

You are more likely banned from the forums because you violated the rules of discussion...I'm guessing you went off on people and you were reported. Anyway, to many people, Obama is an enemy of the USA. They have a right to that opinion.

Your guess is wrong. People actually came onto a thread I started, and went off on me. Why? Because I don't like what Israel is doing to the Palestinians, and what Zionists are doing to my country. THAT sentiment is not allowed here. Anti-Semite-ted

You are right that anti-semitism is not well-tolerated.

Speaking out against Israeli Injustice is not tolerated. Nothing to do with anti-semitism. Anti Occupation, anti throwing kids in prison, anti Iron Wall of separation. If it was being DONE to Israel, you'd be against it too. Rotten behavior just is.
