Aimed at mostly Republicans:

In the 2008 election black panthers were intimidating voters by wielding clubs and "tough" posturing. They got away with it. I expect the same this year.
That event has been so wildly overplayed. A few Black Panthers where standing around outside polling stations not wielding clubs at all. One person even said they were inside standing where people voted. It's like one of those stories that starts off one way and by the end of it it has no relation to reality.
How do you describe "tough posturing"?
More played-down than overplayed I think. Tough posturing is what my aunt has; slouched shoulders, sway back, kyphosis, knock-kneed.
If that's not a club in his hand, please tell me what that long, hard black thing is.

Lies. It's only true if it's aimed at old democrats, or minorities.
It's wrong no matter which side is doing it.
Makes me sick.
Hopefully, voter laws and voter intimidation laws will be addressed between now and 2016.
If IDs are going to be required, an effort like the 2010 Census should be deployed to get IDs into citizens' hands. Parole boards can be in charge of issuing to felons who've done their time and are now eligible. Although that, too, is risky.
Anyway, voter suppression SUCKS.
Democracy without a strong republic constitution is mob rule. 49% of the people are unhappy at any given time.
Gimme a break! First my Governor does every thing in his power to suppress voters, mostly minorities. Now lets flip it around Governor and say the Dems are doing it. Both sides cheat would be more accurate then!
I read today that these letters are postmarked from Seattle, Washington. I receive so much political junk in my mail, I don't even look at it. They're going to be targeting swing states, not just Florida.
At this point, it's all about voter turnout.
To even talk about this is doing nothing more then encouraging them. It will continue as long as anyone continues to put these crazy folks, both Dems and Repubs, in the limelight! They obviously love the attention.

How can we represent ourselves as a democracy when the GOP in Ohio and Florida is exercising voter suppression? Minorities are having to wait in line for 6 hours or more to get to vote. How do you think that looks to the rest of the world? How can we promote democracy in the rest of the world when...
