Clinton handled the pressure of giving a farewell speech very well: "I look back wistfully and I look forward hopefully". Nice balance. I assume that this is because Clinton is a relatively new face on Capitol Hill, having taken office on January 3, 2001 in sharp contrast to vice-president-designate Joe Biden who has been on Capitol Hill since January 3, 1973).
