An icone of democracy died and I am saddened. I hope that his successor will keep on the good work. Power to the people. Thank you Chavez.

Was shocked to hear he'd died. He wasn't a saint but he did stick two fingers up at certain people who were getting too big for their boots.

I was shocked, too. He certainly wasn't a saint, but he did improve the lives of many impoverished people. The vultures will be rubbing their hands together now; those lovely oil reserves.

Was really upset to hear the news.  It shouldn't have come as a surprise, but still it does.  Undoubtedly one of the great figures of modern history. It's a huge blow.

I was very shocked and was then, and still am upset.  I have just this minute seen his coffin carried away. He is still alive in the minds of his many supporters.     His thoughts are ,as we know revolutionary so his energy will carry on .   It will carry on in all who met and were enthused by him.
