Has the Zimmerman verdict racially polarized Americans? Why? Why not?
Yes, it has, yet again. The same stuff we got during the Rodney King or OJ controversies. If you follow any article on the subject and read some of the vitrolic comments, the inclusion of race into the issue is undeniable. The merit of the case pro or con is subordinated to whether you fall on one side or the other of the racial boundary that separates public opinion on this Zimmerman case.
