The  IRS can demand seven years of documents from you, put you in jail and take everything you own, but can't find two years of emails. Hard drives were lost.  Were are the Democrats?  Does it make you comfortable that an agency can destroy you and your reputation, then decide they made a mistake but it's OK for them to lose information? Where are the Democrats in the investigations?  If this can allegedly  happened to conservative organizations  what's to keep it from happening to other organizations if the winds of change bring another political persuasion to power?
Front page of the Wall Street Journal below the fold had an article on the IRS hearings yesterday.  The Dems didn't even show up until page 5 and the 8th paragraph of the article.

Oops, looks like I started a competing thread. Sorry, but I did not see yours before doing so.

But my question went to the error of the claim. So what if Lerner's hardrive crashed? What does that have to do with the email servers? Email programs are not run on individual computers.

Haha! You made a joke, "Where are the Democrats?" They are scrounging through the closets to make sure there were no "back-ups" to Lerner's computer of course.

I know I am at risk of looking really silly, but in all my years of computer activity - I have never lost an email because "my" computer crashed - because "my" computer is not the email client sever!!!!!!!!

I am pissed that they think we are so dumb!

Geez Louise! You don't have to be Democrat or Republican to recognize this as the bullshit that it is!

Gez Louize, Where have you been? - nothing that has come out of Obama's mouth or the democrat party from the day he started running for president has been anything but bullshit!

This is nothing new and totally to be expected from this bunch of BaRackateers. "Although racketeering exists in America today an even more insidious and repugnant "racket" has rapidly evolved in American politics from it's infancy of simply making promises (that won't be kept) to get elected into carefully planned and orchestrated LIES by candidates for office, elected officials and their appointees who are operating as a structured group (the Democrat Party). And who would you think deserves the credit for taking dishonest and fraudulent political practices and policies to levels never before imagined?"

Like, where have you been? The bullshit? it continues daily, lies and lies about lying, obstruction of Justice, stonewalling investigations these are the Democrat party of today and mark my words it will all end in marshall law before they will totally relinquish power they have strived for 50 years to obtain. The America you don't know, the people that they "think are so dumb" aren't you nor I, they are the people who elected them who, guess what, they "are so dumb"!...  dumber than you can imagine.

Love the idea Dems are in the closet looking for back up tapes. Living in Tech-no-ville California not even the staunch progressives believe this one.

I said a whole lot more than you did - how can anyone be surprised unless they haven't paid any attention to all the scandals ('phoney scandals", yeah who in their right mind believes that!) of this administration, Fast and furious (presidential priviledge on information?, 2 perjuries by Holder), Obamacare (Liar of the year award, Bengazi (a video, really?) , Va Hospital (yeah he ran for office on fixing that and it only got worse), Russia (tell Putin to wait til after the election, I'll have more flexibility?), IRS (not a smidgen of corruption even though no investigation was completed?), GSA gone wild, bullying of the press, end runs around congress deciding which laws to enforce, influence peddling of Obama nominees, Carney's documented lying for the President... The list of reasons to declare "gez louize...I'm pissed that they think we are so dumb?" is never ending and certainly doesn't start with the most recent 'dog ate my homework" declarations by the IRS!!

After Lois Lerner declared taking the 5th and wanting 10 years to produce emails? (like that wasn't presuming stupidity of their investigators) how could anythng be a surprise?  Expect it and even more as this administration leads America down the road to becoming a third world country. The obvious answer to my reply was, you are absolutely right, the party in office has always treated the American public as if they are "so dumb". You must not have been paying any attention 'till now if all you can say is "And that is your contribution to the topic?"

I'm not surprised just curious to see if anyone is concerned about this beside us.

Your questions were pertinent - I was replying to GA who evidently is pissed that this administration and their operatives think he is so dumb, like that hasn't been the case from the day Obama decided to run for president.

There I go again... making assumptions... assuming the thread was about the IRS and  the lost email explanation, and assuming respondents were interested in that conversation...

I did not realize my ending comment; "I am pissed that they think we are so dumb!", (and that is not the first time this administration's actions have prompted that response from me),  would turn it into a generic anti-Obama rant opportunity. For which you were obviously prepared to oblige.

Although I almost completely agree with your explanation for the "... how dumb..." part, I still don't see such a response as contributing to the "lost emails" topic. Hence my question.

              Looking back at the OP, and considering that it appeared that this latest IRS "problem" was what prompted the meat of his point;

" Where are the Democrats in the investigations?  If this can allegedly  happened to conservative organizations  what's to keep it from happening to other organizations if the winds of change bring another political persuasion to power?"...

... it looks like the question was asking for more than just another "Obama is the devil" tirade.

Hell, maybe my response was off-topic too - since I did not consider the "where are the Democrats" part either. And maybe if your only thought was to respond to my final "pissed" line - you could be spot on. So I will just go back to my room until I learn to be a more savvy participant.

I don't blame you. After all it would piss me off too if the administration I loved for so long, that I turned a blind eye to all their "bullshit", finally came up with a scenario even I couldn't believe. It is good you finally saw the light but to call all this administration's lies and "above the law" behavior Obama bashing tells me you still need some rehabilitation. Of course some afflictions, like Obama zombie disease just can't be cured. Obama zombies love to call any criticism of Obama Obama bashing implying that the criticisms aren't legit, and next they accuse critics of racism - is that where you want to go GA? cause you are half way there.

Well, this is certainly taking an unexpected turn. But since I bought a ticket, I guess I might as well play too.

I hope the rest of your assumptions aren't as wrong as your thought that I am an Obama Zombie, or even an Obama supporter. Perhaps I am not the one that needs a little "catching up."

You rant was Obama bashing because it was off topic. Other than trying to illustrate your knowledge that the Obama Administration has a basket full of credibility problems - where did you address the OP's point?

But moving on... to your non-Obama-bashing tirade....

                  You wrote:
"Fast and furious (presidential priviledge on information?,"

" Obamacare (Liar of the year award,"

Bingo! You are right, and I have said so myself in previous threads, (which you must have missed), but what does that have to do with the Missing emails and lack of Democrat visibility point of the OP?

                  "Bengazi (a video, really?)"

Bingo! You are right, and I have said so myself in previous threads, (which you must have missed), --wasn't this more of a Hillary show? - but what does that have to do with the Missing emails and lack of Democrat visibility point of the OP?

"Va Hospital (yeah he ran for office on fixing that and it only got worse),

Oops, I can't go with you on this one. I see it as a corrupt bureaucracy that could be laid on Bush's administration just as validly as Obama's - but again,  what does that have to do with the Missing emails and lack of Democrat visibility point of the OP?

"Russia (tell Putin to wait til after the election, I'll have more flexibility?), "

Bingo! You are right, and I agree it shows Obama's real intentions, but what does that have to do with the Missing emails and lack of Democrat visibility point of the OP?

"IRS (not a smidgen of corruption even though no investigation was completed?),"

Super Bingo! This is all Obama admin - all the time. Is my Obama Zombie shell cracking yet?  - but again,  what does that have to do with the Missing emails and lack of Democrat visibility point of the OP?

"GSA gone wild, bullying of the press, end runs around congress deciding which laws to enforce, influence peddling of Obama nominees, Carney's documented lying for the President..."

Do you really think this stuff doesn't go on in most administrations? Sure it happened on Obama's watch too - but that does not make him unique. And it certainly does not address the OP's point.

Does any of the above help you understand why I perceived your response as nothing more than an anger-filled anti-Obama rant? Does the illustration that none of your response addressed the thread's topic point to your use of the thread as a soap box?

And did you happen to notice the appearance that most, if not all of your complaints were reiterations of Republican talking points? Original thoughts may take a little more work, but they are usually a better indicator of credibility.

                  And then comes your masterstroke...
" next they accuse critics of racism - is that where you want to go GA? cause you are half way there."

Do you really think implying my discussions are so shallow that I would resort to bringing race into them bolsters your position? Is that really all you have to justify your declarations?

You are wrong in so many ways that I can only offer my condolences, and hope that the more enjoyable aspects of your life don't suffer from the same quick-draw conclusions that your attempts at conversation suffer from.

It's as good as Rose Mary Woods "accidently" erasing the 18-1/2 minutes of conversation for Nixon. Just pick a side, any side in our government and see what shaky ground you stand on when blaming the other.
