This trip was self serving for President Obama, no more, no less. He is not speaking for the American people and certainly no apology was needed. If anything, the Japanese owe us and the world an apology and they ought to be grateful that we treated them with respect after the surrender.
The hope for peace and non nuclear proliferation is something the Pope would say as the leader of a religious group not for the leader of the free world. We need nuclear weapons as a strong deterrent. He should know better.

Do not know what your aiming at. Are you for or not for or against nuclear weapons?

I am for defending our selves and keeping the peace in a chaotic world. Nuclear weapons, as devestating as it is, serves that purpose. It has kept the world safe since WW2. I realize people who want peace is sincere in what they believe but they are naive. Do you really believe that the human race can just reject nuclear weapons and all will be well?  Did you know Hitler was very close on developing the atom bomb. If they got it first, where do you think the world will be now?

            The world? Safe? Really?

I guess you mean the US...

Yes, the world is safer and better off with the help of US throughout the cold war. The US has not been perfect, we had our mishaps and failures. The world will always have tyrants and evil doers. It was America that stood up to them with our treasure and blood. Our nuclear arsenal and ICBM were part of our defense. As Reagan said, we want Peace through Strength. What we have now under Obama is just the opposite, leading from behind is not working. The world is more dangerous today than 8 years ago. Do you deny that? Ask all the military experts...

Today, USA is not about defence it's offence. Even worse  toward the natural environment. Much of the world are too sick and tired of it, now soon, watch out .

Please explain. How is the USA being offensive? Which act specifically has the USA been guilty of in your opinion? Are you agreeing with President Obama that we as a country have so much to apologize for? Has his policies of the past 7 years helped advance world peace? What do you think the USA should do?

It's seem nobody has the financial resources, courage and know how to imprisonment the elistist bankers who run the world by fear.

World war 3 has already started and the US dollar has already started to collapse in South America. America will keep proping up the dollar by printing it  insanily.  Almost all the US dollar will come home. Until the abuse is too great for the American public to survive by. They won't imprisonment their banker until they no longer fear death. American do not care about foreign affairs any more, and they care less about America. The suffering abuse has to take it"s Course, then reset for a spiritual age, and I don't mean most of us will be going to hell.

This is to all the veteran war fighters out there. If the shoe fits wear it. If it doesn't just shrug it off and recognize that it does not apply to you.

Memorial day is right around the corner. It is a troublesome and sometimes confusing day for a lot of people. A day when people walk up to us and to say "thanks for your service" not realizing that the person they're thanking feels guilty that they are alive and all of their friends are dead. It is a day we watch everyone have barbecues, drink beer, and enjoy the day off. Remember that this was the point of it all. I want my family and friends to live in ignorant bliss. Never having to know about the blood and screams. So on May 30th when somebody thanks you for service, don't be a bitch and correct them about the difference between veterans day and memorial day. Look around at the smiles on everyone's faces. Smell the smoke from the barbecue, kick back put your feet up and enjoy a beer. Live in the moment for a day. Be in the present appreciating our brothers that gave it all, and that they did it for a reason. Know that the people around you are doing exactly what they're supposed to be doing. They are doing what we fought and some died for. They are enjoying a FREE life.

One thing you can say that he will be remembered. Obama  was the first black President. He did do a couple of minor things.

After America killed 10s of millions of Japanese in world war 2.  They did help Japan out by rebooting their economy by loaning them money.

Today USA owes Japan over a trillion dollar, second to China. Many parts of South America is  crashing and collapsing right now over the dollar. IBRICS has made some deals in farming to help them out. Japan will crash next and will want some of USA money back, but tbey won't because they don't have any money. Because America will be next to crash, only heads up I  can give you for now. BRICS will be cleaning up slowly USA MESSES around the World.

Japan started that war when they bombed Pearl Harbor.

Gross exaggeration does not help your cause.  There were just two nations that suffered even 10 million deaths (combined civilian and military) in WW2 - Russia and China - and only Russia suffered "tens of millions".  Japan comes in at 6th place with 2,500,000 - only 1/8 of your claim.

The world has changed and America has changed, America is the bully not the friend this time. I know the majority of the American people are better than that, brainwashing for greed, should be the highest treason.

I would like to know where you are getting your information. You being Canadian have no clue about what is going on in America. What news source are you being brain washed with this anti American non senses. America is not perfect and we don't claim to be. Only Jesus is perfect. America is in trouble but not because of greed. It is because we have a President that is a pacifist and will not defend our interests around the world. He also is a big spender that has bankrupt our treasure with 19 Trillion debt. His Affordable Care Act is a job killer and that is one of the reason we have less than 2% GDP growth over the last 7 years. You need a long history lesson and stop watching Al Jazera.

I get my information mainly from studying human history and touring 6 continents and visiting 49 US states where I made most of my money from. Top American economsist back these facts up.

Jack your living in an American dream myth owned by 85% corporatism multimedia and delusion puppet scripted politician. Yet your not alone most Americans don't realize their private debt is 20% higher than the great depression. Their national debt is about the same as the great depression. Their debt acceded their assets. If you measure unemployment like they did in the 1970 America charts tbey would be at 23% unemployment rate back by oversea jobs. Their dollar is back by nothing except more fraudulent printed money. Most of your Federal tax  is given for a current 3 world war on 3 continents. I can go on and on and still like Religion 1+1 equals 3 when the Government is the true God.  When American worship them with their money far greater than any other group.  Goverment steal more money and give less back in service each election .
Do you know any better definition of totally brainwashing towards Americans than this.

I as a conservative knows what you are talking about. I wrote about many of this in my hubs. I disagree on the religion part as I am religious and I do believe that America lost some of our footing because we drifted away from God. That does not take away our past and many of the great things America has done. I have traveled many parts of the world as well and have recently just returned from a trip to China which I also wrote about here on Hubpages. As much as I criticized what's been happening here, it is stil the greatest country on earth.

Wail living in America, for me it was the best place in the world and no. 1 in best in so many areas and diversity's. Today America no 1. In debt, incarnations, wars and demons and Angels. Their economic collapse will be the worst in American history as ground zero for civil and world war soon. Putin warns for American to keep their guns.

Hope you are prepared for what is about to come, I have been ready for the last 5 years with substantially green housing and energy community.

If the next war comes, your best chance for survival is joining the Amish community. They can survive without electricity. The rest of us cannot. The 2nd Amendment is precisely why we need guns to defend ourselves in such chaos.

I learned a lot from Amish in my other home in Belize. Right now living in a remote , sunnier place in Canada. Global warming should make one of the best place to grow gold in greenhouse. Personally i find guns more dangerous to have than not to have. My eco community security systems is not ready. The majority of Americans have no idea what is about to hit them. The greedy will prolong  sufferings as much as you allow them to.
