Will I lose my benefits if I refuse an offer of what could be suitable work because it's 62% less $?
I live in Michigan. I was employed at a company as a staffing specialist. I was on a med leave. When I was to return, I was informed my position had been back-filled, basically my position was eliminated. I filed for unemployment the next day. Today I received a letter from my employer stating that they have a full-time temporary front desk position paying $9.50/hour but there is a possibility that the position could turn into permanent full-time. Previously I was making $32K/year. Technically the position is not available because the person they back-filled my position with has been working.
