if you are a Democrat, what Republican politician do you admire (you can't say "no one")?
I am a staunch republican, so this is a difficult question. I can't say I "admire" Bill Clinton, but the job he did (not taking into account his personal shenanigans) as president was okay. As for the current group of dems, I guess Juan Williams (from Fox and NPR) is somewhat reasonable though I usually disagree with him.
SheriSapp, appreciate that. I'm still waiting for a Democrat to answer the question in the other direction! I am a Democrat (usually), and to answer my own question, there is much I admire in McCain; any man who stays in a POW camp voluntarily for 5 years because he refuses to leave before other prisoners who were there before him automatically has my respect, whatever his views. I sometimes like Orrin Hatch, having grown up in a neighboring state. I don't agree with Palin much, but I cannot deny (and I think anyone in their right mind can't deny) that she is really attractive!.

I would say that the odds are that Hillary Clinton will run for President in 2016. I don't think her ego will allow her to do otherwise. Now to my mind, the moment Hillary announces her candidacy it will be a forgone conclusion that the democratic nomination is hers. She can literally just phone it...
