Has NATO the military capability to open up a third front against extremism, fundamentalism and...
nuclear arms- 1st Iraq, 2nd Afganistan and 3rd Iran?
The military capability......yes! The political will.........not very likely. NATO as a political organization is dysfunctional to the extreme. When the East Bloc dissolved and was removed as an immediate threat.....NATO lost the "focus" that had been it's reality for nearly 60 years. It has been floundering ever since.
NATO has more than enough capability to do that but no political will at all.
nato is going to cause the destruction of our planet if they aren't careful. giving a group like nato say over who can have what is not only foolish but wrong. i personally didn't ask nato to take care of me and i bet if all the allied countries just left the middle east alone completely , they would in turn destroy themselves.
