Is our American  civility and good manners a thing of the past.?

How concience of your own personal behaviour are you ?  Do you think daily of  how you behave in public,  How often do you "check " your mannerisms?

Hmm ..check my manners? Not often - then again I tend to live as I was raised. Mom is always watching you know - even from 2000 miles away wink
On the serious side odd as this may sound working in a business that services all kinds of people I have noticed that not all cultures hold the same things as "rude" or "uncivil". They are in the melting pot and the absorbtion of actions and behaviour patterns flows both ways. That being said I think we are melding - How Rude!

My momma taught me to be nice and yours probably did too but apparently some of these moms were asleep at the switch.  Selfishness and greed are causing people to toss out their respect for their fellow man.  There are many people that I disagree with philosphically but that does not give me the right to attack them in a personal way verbally or in any other manner.  If you feel you can only make your point effectively by attacking the other person personally, then your argument does not hold much water.  Driving people to withdraw and shutdown is not's disgusting. We live in an electronic world where people feel they no longer have to depend on or care about their fellow man/woman...we are rapidly becoming a "toss it away" society that obsessed with immediate gratification..."I I can't have it now, I don't want it at all!"
