    old does not. have to be responsible when they say they want sex. Are either old enough to know right or wrong.

    Hi JLSB, That is an excellant question. I feel that if a 16 year old can be held responsible for their actions or decisions when commiting a crime such as murder, they should be held responsible for their decisions when it comes to sex. Especially if they have had previous experiance and were NOT forced or coerced and were more than willing to participate. I know this doesn't answer your question, but it does show my point of view.     We (as a society) have many double standards and twisted ways of coming up with a legal precedence. A 16 year old is old enough to know right from wrong, but the consequences are rarely thought through.  Whether it's taking life through murder, or giving life by becoming a father, the 16 year old is not the only one that suffers. I don't have all the answers, but I know parental responsibility has to start well before 16--as these are not issues that develop overnight.
