Not any more than usual. Attorneys built this country. They wrote the constitution and created our government. The United States was founded as a nation for merchants, but led by lawyers.
a lot of politicians are lawyers! so I would say YES to your question.
No....we are! Our politicians and the legal profession represent "us" and most of the time they simply reflect our own greed, lust for money and power. We are quick to accuse politicians of being corrupt and dishonest, especially the ones from the "other" party. We also appear to be somewhat blind when it comes to the similar actions of "our guys" however. It is quite sad, actually, how easily we can accuse the other side of all the wrong doing and corruption while holding up our own sleaze as pure and wholesome. Funny how easy that is.....isn't it?
. If we really want to find out how we got into this mess and who is to blame I think it is time for all of us to stand up and ......look in the mirror!! The answer you seek is there
There is a saying that goes something like this.
"In the end you, usually, get the government you deserve"
Lawyers including the us supreme court are sworn to uphold the bankruptcy of the Corporate UNITEDSTATES in Washington D.C. which includes all CORPORATE UNITEDSTATES CITIZENS.Politicians included.
If,you live in the jurisdiction of the federal government

Where are all the political science graduates? How come most of our politicians are lawyers? We are basically hiring professional liers (lawyers) to lead us ... why do we not chose those who studied politics to actually be our politicians as supposed to greedy lawyers?
