Is the United States' era of world leadership at an end?

Every superpower that influenced the world has fallen - and it's happened faster and faster through history. Is it happening again now?

Unfortunately, yes. This circumstance is rapidly approaching
Although we have by far the greatest amount of resources, our ability to use them properly is suspect.

Looks that way. America is making the mistake that all the other super powers have made and that's trying to overextend their empire.

The era may well be at an end.  I do not think that we will be replaced by a new super power.  The very idea of a super power seems anachronistic in the modern world.

For some reason Humanity cannot break this cycle and become more enlightened. This event has occurred over and over throughout history. The roman empire comes to mind however it took them much longer to get to this point.
I agree there will not be another "Super Power" because the only canidate , "CHINA" has the whole economy built on buying our debt, and manufacturing goods to sell to America. If we fall so will they. This event has happened many times before as well. Currency War, Trade War, and then WORLD WAR. When all else fails world war is inevitable in the minds of our controllers BANKS.
THe Banks love it because they profit from all sides and relish in our suffering. Cha Ching

    No!

Obama is not going to be allowed to destroy this nation with his progressive/socialist agenda.  The people have voted and removed Pelosi, and neutered Reid.  The GOP will protect the heart of this country.  Not the entitlement minded fools that are in office now.  And, this follows:

Our Government does not have the solution and cannot provide one for the economy. This Country was founded on free enterprise and creativity. The reward for that is called Capitalism. You are allowed to make gains from your creativity and work ethic.

The Obama solution is to impose Government control on private industry. This will destroy the very foundation that has made America great. Industry must be allowed to use their profits to re-invest in their Corporations, and to grow thereby and hire more workers. Corporations are in a holding pattern with this President.

    MY OPINION:

As far as GATT/NAFTA: they are creations of the Democratic Party, not the corporations. Clinton created a system the corporations would have been foolish not to take advatage of. Repeal GATT and NAFTA, don't impose punitive taxation on corporations. If Obama keeps pushing his socialist-progressive agenda, and he keeps attacking the "status quo" (his words "change") with the intent to challenge corporations, you'll see jobs suffer and corporations leave this country in droves.

    Get Real!
