People have a difficult time accepting themselves. Often people are anxious about certain personality traits and wish the could change. It takes a long time to accept yourself because society expects you to be a certain type of person. However people don't always conform to the expectations of their culture.
they do. perhaps some don't but in general, i believe that people are happy with their lives.
Life never stays still. If you just enjoy life the way it is, then you are not growing. Eventually, you will be overtaken with a malaise and left behind by the rest of the world. In my experience, people have a need for challenges of some kind. This may be semantics, but I believe it is people who enjoy the moment that seem to be happier than people who just enjoy their lives the way they are. The difference is that enjoying the moment does not preclude growing.
No matter how long we live and how good it gets we people always want something better. It may be selfish but it is human nature.
We are not programmed to just accept the status quo. The day you stop growing
is the day you are fitted for the wooden box.The only time I will accept life for what it is and be happy with my lot is when I have everything I need and am basically free from the day to day c..p!
Because we don't know how to stay in the moment.. We are never satisfied and always looking for more.. However, looking back, we do find that we were completely satisfied and filled with joy but only in retrospect because in the moment we are too worried about what we could have or what we used to have
The reason why some people can't enjoy the life they live is because a lot times they are not happy with themselves. You ever meant a person an they get into this and that. Always have a different things going on all of the time. There not satisfied and not at peace within themselves. That why they try and try again, they're not happy of what is now. However one day they will enjoy there lives, but they have to get over the hurdles.
It would be boring if we just stopped in our growth and just settled for what we have. For a time that is ok, but we are creatures of growth.
There are times in our lives that we have some setbacks, and some very hard setbacks and when you get hit with bad things, it is hard to enjoy your life at that time. We keep growing and even a setback is growth but in a different direction, usually temporary.
They dislike their jobs, they dislike their boss, they dislike the things they must do in order to make the living that will allow them to continue disliking their life.
Many people do enjoy their lives. My sister chose to become a nun, against the advice of many loving relations and friends, and seems to have found a life she enjoys fully. Significantly, I think, she has the intelligence and the education needed to be able to analyse external pressures from her peers, from society at large and from cultural expectations and to reject those which threaten her quality of life.
Unfortunately most people live in a world that constantly urges them to do things that they either don't want or are not able to do. It is quite difficult to take time, stand back and think objectively about one's life.
It might have to do with how you grew up. I know I would be fine the way my life is, but then I look at my upbringing and I realize that if I started a family, would I want them to struggle like I did growing up? Probably not. If we all were the same, nothing would change in this world. No new direction. Just constant. If living to survive instead of living to be alive is the sole reason why we all exist, then maybe we can enjoy our lives the way it is. But we're all different. We have our quirks. We can want the bare necessities, but can we live with accepting the bare minimum in ourselves? =]

Why do we get pessimistic sometimes even though everything is fine with our lives?

We elect them, that is kind of like hiring them. If you hire someone, you can decide what they get paid. Is there a reason we cannot do this? This is just one of the things I am wondering about.I think about too much to put it on one page.

Life goes by so fast. How can we slow it down?

I think it would be so good if we can add the zazzle products to our hubs via Zazzle Capsule just like We do it for Amazon. It will help us improve traffic and of course earnings.
