Why is it that people take advantage of those who are humble and polite?
Because it seems easy for those without morals - it's kinda like the saying about "stepping on other heads to get higher" ... a sign of a lack of education, values, compassion and such - in my opinion.
Being humble and polite is often mistaken for being "weak".
Not many people (respect) weakness. P.T. Barnum once said, "There's a sucker born every minute". It's important to be seen as strong, decisive, as well as tactful to earn the respect of others. It's up to each and everyone of us to look out for ourselves. Trust like respect is to be earned overtime. Don't just give it away. That's a conman's dream!
Hi dashingscorpio..yes you are right, people always think that you're weak and dont hv the drive.
