When people have to be right all the time, how does it make you feel?
Why do these people have to be right all the time?
One of the most anti-social and even debilitating problems I encounter are people who have to be right. It's as if being wrong makes them BAD. It doesn't. I just makes you wrong. It takes emotional maturity to understand that. Maybe that's the problem.
Being wrong about something often leads you to insight and growth that would be impossible had you decided to stand on your soapbox of willful error.
Those kind of people can be so frustrating. Being seen as right (or wrong) doesn't bother me for the most part, so whenever I'm around know-it-alls and the "I know I'm always right" types, I just take the path of least resistance and let them think what they want.
I think the need to be right all the time usually comes from low self-esteem.
I do my very best to avoid people who think they know it all.
