Do you think people answer honestly on here?
or do you think many answer with what they think is politically correct?
I think I've heard enough politically correct people, they get brutal with honesty. lol Just don't choose to get in their politically correct reality due to it's not what life is about.
There might be exceptions, but in general I find people here genuine and honest.
And I've find few people brutally honest too (without worrying about whether they are politically correct or not ..etc) .
honest people would make it a point to say what they think, those who don't want to offense may make it sweeter or not answer...and there are others.
Just enjoy reading interesting things, learning, sharing... what is the truth??? Maybe some are scared the government is reading, which puts a lid on what we can really write, nobody wants to put themselves and their family in danger by writing some things.
Take care and happy holidays to everybody.
Love and peace on all
Good question.
There are a lot of genuine, honest answers. And there are many that answer on the politically correct side.
I try to live life on the "real life" side of the coin. When you are having to make decisions that affect your day to day life, there is not much room for the politically correct version. While if it is a social question, then yes, it would be ok to give a politically correct answer.
There is a time and place for everything. Here on hubpages, I feel it is fairly balanced.
I think so, I don't see why they would really have any reason to not be honest on here.
Yes, but the answers are heavily partisan influenced. Most don't know why they believe what they do.
on the average i will say yes, people are pretty honest here, one has to believe on himself and everything else will take shape.
I have read some mostly unusual answers that indicate that some people only write somethign just to write something . Of course there are people that take what they do seriously and answer as honestly as allowed.
I can only speak for myself and say that I answer honestly. I can always choose not to answer a question, so why lie?
As per question's importance, like what kind of a question it is and what can be the suitable answer for the question. But the thing is It is such a platform where you are not bound to ans anyone and if you want then you must be honest and according me people definitely speaks the truth and ans honestly at here me too.
I think so, there is a certain level of anonymity which allows people to be more honest than they might in their everyday life.
Personally I give honest answers and I think most do most of the time.
But like others have said there are also a lot of PC answers and answers that only play into the desires of the posters.
Nobody is 100% honest on here, except the extremely intelligent and the extremely stupid. But our whole society is that way. We are a culture of cheap facades--in our manners, our values, and of course, our architecture.

Why are we "Americans" so damned sensitive about the way something is verbally expressed? Why not tell it like it is!?

Is anyone else sick of the words "politically correct"?Who thought this up, a politician and why are so many people going along with it. We keep changing in America to accommodate more people we don't need. Who else is sick of being told what to say and how to, isn't this going against...

Hoopla. Most of the people these days are trying so hard to be politically correct and refused to call a person who entered the United States illegally an "Illegal Alien" for fear of being branded as "racist". For me, if you're illegal, you are illegal. No sugar coating, no...
