Do UFO's cause Global Warming?
Maybe it's just me, but it seems to me that the recent global warming phenomena is coincident with the increased number of UFO sitings. Are they linked?
That is hard to answer because a true UFO is exactly that an UNIDENTIFIED FLYING OBJECT. In order for anybody to answer this question correctly, they would first have to identify exactly what the UFO was and as to whether it could possibly have an influence on our atmosphere. However, your observation is a good one as I suppose it is possible but first, as I have said, in order to know for certain, we would have identify the unidentified.
So aliens are heating up the planet. You would think that the whole "Independence Day" thing would be the easiest way to wipe us out. But maybe causing a more gradual deterioration of our planet would both kill us all and have the added benefit of increasing the aliens' scientific knowledge. Of course, if their plan is to kill us slowly behind the scenes, then you would think that they were smart enough to not have their flying saucers seen all of the time. So after much deep reflection, I will have to go with no.
Call me paranoid, but UFO aliens--along with Bigfoot and werewolves, for that matter--just plain don't like me. At least, they've never revealed themselves to me. I'd think that this COLD-shoulder treatment towards myself, and towards the silent majority of the non-drinking public, would cause global COOLING.
Sorry to be a wet blanket, but we haven't seen a Global Warming trend for more than 13 years, according to the publicly available satellite data. Global Warming is dead. Long live Global Warming!
I love your question because it really gets us going and causes us to want to answer your question in all sorts of different ways.
Being an avid fan of the ancient alien theorists and such like, my imagination goes whirring with a question like this. I write science fiction based stories for young people and have had to think through this question many times before, in trying to decide how to present alien invasion type scenarios to the reader.
I have to presume that is where your question is going when you mention UFOs.
Do you mean to suggest we are being visited by alien beings in their spacecraft, frequently and that they have had some influence on the recent perceptible changes on our global climate?
If so, who knows what kind of technology has been dispelled on our planet from time to time? However the mind boggles and we would need some proof to actually accept this supposition.
From an ancient alien theorist's point of view, it would seem that we may have had 'visitors' before, influencing our genetics and who knows our global climate.
We live in a vast universe and it seems logical and probable therefore, that there has to be some kind of intelligent life out somewhere and life that is probably much more intelligent and superior to ours.
It is my guess we may be influenced at this moment as we 'innocently and naively' write our hubs for HubPages.
Which ever way we chose to look at this question for an answer, there may be aliens among who are already answering this question.
Thanks for the question.
Yes indeed, the purpose of the question was to promote thought, and see what sorts of reactions it would stir up. Great answer.
I put in a call to Al Gore earlier this evening but so far no response! In my own opinion at this particular time in history I have to believe all things are possible -- can't say whether I believe it's true or not but not going to rule anything out!
