Does anyone have an argument against the Julius Caesar's leap year debunk of 2012?
Perhaps you should explain what this is about. Are people arguing that Julius Caesar didn't invent the Julian Calendar? That he predicted the 2012 global superpocalypse? I don't understand.
I think he means that because the calender we are using is total crap if it has to be fixed every four years and therefore nobody really knows when the Mayan 13.0.0.0 really is. Which is right.
The conjunction has already happened.
The Mayan doomsday according to the Earth's precession - we are supposed to be in a little mini ice age right now - so global warming is not such a bad thing after all.

I can't argue against it, in fact I think that it would probably be a good idea. The problem will be of course, what day to start it on. For instance, everybody would want their birthdays on a weekend or different religions would want special days on specific days, like Christmas on a Sunday etc. Once it was underway though, i think people would soon get used to it and like it. It may be successful as "big money" may like the easier way to calculate interests.

The Julius Caesar debunk is saying that he invented leap year on the Julian Calender thus adding around 500 days to the calender since its creation, thus making it 2013 according to the Mayan calender had we not used leap years. So the Mayan "end of the world" would have been 7 months ago.

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1000142 … 63786.htmlI heard a good argument against the raising the debt ceiling a few years back. This senator argued leadership means that ''the buck stops here. Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children...

I just read an opinion piece in the NY Times about requiring a govenrment-issued photo ID to vote. The author, a GA congressman, believes this practice discriminates against African Americans. I don't get it. Anyone can get a photo ID easily - it doesn't have to be a driver's license. One of my...

Easter Sunday is on the first day of the week, not the seventh. Mark 16:2-4 And very early in the morning the first [day] of the week, they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun. And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre? And when...
