Do you think Obama will be politically punish for publicly supporting gay marriage?
Obama recently throw his weight behind gay marriage
No. With support for DOMA waning rapidly among the young voters whom he is trying to reach, and with the liberal base needing a reason to support him with a degree of enthusiasm, this move will most likely prove helpful on balance.
Supporting means nothing. Nothing has changed, it's still illegal. If he attempts to "change" that, he will go down in flames. 32 States have voted big time against it. If Obie loses 32 states he loses the election.
