Would you rather be lied to in politeness or told the truth and offended?
Either way it hurts. To be lied to means that you are not worth the truth, and can amount to great demise. To be told the truth may bring a great deal of pain, instead of hiding behind the lies.
I'd rather know the truth otherwise it would make it even harder to trust that person in the future. I can't stand people lying though especially when I already know what the truth actually is. Drives me insane when people lie to my face.

My boyfriend lied to me about where he was. He told me he was with a friend, instead he was with...his other "friend" who is a complete idiot and has no respect for anyone but himself. My boyfriend knows this. How to deal with him? Help!?!

Why do people ask questions, and when they are told the truth which is not what they want to...hear, they vote down on your response? They do this especially when it comes to relationship questions.
