Did the Pakistani Government know Bin Laden was in their country?
The government of Pakistan claims they did not know Bin Laden was in their country per the raid that killed him. I do not believe them. It seems to me that Bin Laden was under a kind of house arrest? The Pakistanis were mad we did not tell them about the raid ahead of time but if we had I think Bin Laden would have been tipped off.
You are totally correct!! Of course they knew he was there. If we would have contacted their government about the mission? Bin-ladin would be alive today.
The Pakistan top brass, by this I mean the President ( at that time Musharraf) the army chief and elements of the ISI had complete knowledge of Bin Laden. In fact they selected his haven close to the Pak military academy just 100 km from their capital.
They knew whoever it was was there. We'll never know if that was the real ben Ladin or one of his famous doubles. The body was disposed of before reliable proof could be developed, a suspicious circumstance were there ever one. Pakistani intelligence has long said the real ben Ladin died of his kidney disease years ago. They may have been lying to shield him. They may have been telling the truth. It's too late to find out.
Most probably, he lived literally next to a Pakistani base, there was a reason they were not notified beforehand of the U.S. attack.

This fascinates me. The bungler in chief has changes his story a few times about Bin Laden's well deserved death. One might think they could just watch the videos from the assault team along with the helicopter-mounted cameras, develop a timeline, create some PowerPoint slides and tell the people...

With all of the talk about GITMO regarding "Illegal Detention" and "Enhanced Interigation" techniques, I was wondering what were the thoughts of those who believed that all of the Detainees should have a trial in the US. Specifically, should Bin Laden have been brought back to...

Okay, I know this probably isn't that big of a deal to some folks, but i thought i'd bring it up anyway. On the radio the other day, I was listening to two political analysts, and one of them still insists on labeling O'Bama a moron for how he's handled things from day one of his...

What if bin Laden's death was staged? What if he was actually captured by the special operators and whisked away into the darkness of a black, CIA prison somewhere? What questions would you want the President (clearly the smartest man in the world) to ask him?
