I think its the technology that is altering the way we communicate and changes the mode of relationships. It has positive and negative effects on peoples lives.

I would say that the Hip Hop/Rapper lifestyle has had a significant impact on our society.  Hip hop music has been a major influence on children and adults since the late eighties and early nineties.  Not only has this type of music exploded into a billion dollar industry, but many of hip hop artists have gone on mentor younger singers and groups.  Some have created their own record labels and signed on new talent themselves.  Many new artists expand beyond music and create their own commercial products or product lines.  Hip hop has also created a type of style in terms of how and what people wear for clothing, shoes, jewelry , and other clothing accessories.  While there are a multitude of positive aspects, there are also negative cultural aspects such as violence, drug and alcohol use, hideous clothing styles, and the promoting of "pimping and gangster life style.  Openly promoting negative aspects of a "Hip Hop/Gangster/Thug lifestyle is creating an impression that a violent lifestyle is cool.  This has and will continue to create dangerous behaviors in younger people who believe what they hear in musical lyrics and in what they see while watching movies and music videos.

Definitely apps, mobile apps are changing everything from where we buy gas to how we take courses at the university.  Soon we will order from restaurants via phone, buy everything we need/want, teach, learn, create with others,  all via apps on a smartphone.
