It isn't going to change. Some will act like he is a god while others will act like he is evil. The same has happened with every president. Look at Bush for example. Even though it is impossible for everything to go wrong with a country in 8 years, he is still talked about like he is some sort of evil and ruined the whole country. Obama is good for some and horrible for others.

Ridicule and support. It depends entirely on the person. Most just ridicule though.

I think if the republicans can put their personal feelings to the side and work together with the President great things can be accomplished. It's hard to be successful when the House of Rep. is against everything you try to do to help the American people. I'm not a huge Obama fan, I'm actually a conservative. But, it's time the party's pull together instead of being so hard headed and wanting their way even if it hurts the American people. Swallow your pride and work together.

That would be so great and it is definitely a time when now more than ever, it has become a necessity instead of just a dream.

Those who are real patriots will set their personal agendas aside and do whatever they can to support the President so that America can heal and become strong again.

Those who claim to be patriots but simply hide behind that title will continue to deride, denigrate and fight against the President to feed their own egos and their own pocketbooks.

Only time will tell who the true patriots are and how many there are.

That's exactly what we need to heal and become strong again.

I think the assumption that one must either support or ridicule Obama is a false dichotomy. Opposition to policy is not ridicule of the president, it is disagreement with a proposal.

That isn't to say no ridicule is possible. Obama does some ridiculous things. I suspect it will be clear enough, however, when someone takes a view on an issue that dissents from his, and when someone is ridiculing him because he's made a jackass of himself again.

Hard to say, but what will be interesting is if FoxNews Cable will continue with the 24/7 mulling over of the Bengahzi incident or if up until the election they used a tragic story like this as part of a political smear campaign against Barack Obama. We will see. If they were sincere in wanting answers as to what happened, they will go immediately back to the same pressure they were applying before the election. If not, and they hash over the election and what Republicans did wrong for the next week, we will know their original concern was not genuine. And if so, I will write every sponsor they have and express that if FoxNews is lying to me about serious matters like this, then they are probably lying about the quality of their advertisers. I hope many other people would do the same.
Since they have demanded answers from Obama about this, let's demand some answers from FoxNews. Bet they don't respond.

That's a bet I don't think I'll take because I have no doubt the lengths they will go to for a political smear.  Keep us posted

If one disagrees and makes a well thought-out counter-point, they will sound respectable and reputable  . . .

When one ridicules, they just sound ridiculous!

I agree totally with TimeTraveler2, there are many who claim to be patriots who not only deride him but also the office of the President. I am an optimistic realist but I do believe that this country will continue to be divided. Many will continue to ridicule him, his family, and his every move and a lot of people will continue supporting him. Too many people would rather waste energy talking trash rather than taking action to help put those in office that they see fit.
