Do you believe that if God or the Government tells you to do something, is it right morally?

There is much talk about Gun Confiscation, killing people, going to war, defending one's self and civilian unrest.  Would it be right if God or the Government ordered people to conficate civian's guns, kill people in war, defend one's food and houses or to steal food for survival even if you know in your heart that it is the wrong thing to do ?

The government tells me and every one of us to do immoral things all the time. God has never told me to do anything immoral.

If God tells you to do anything violent, you need to go see a doctor and be diagnosed. If the government tells you to do somethng violent, it's your choice on whether you want to join the army.

amusing question.  I don't know one single person in our entire history that god has ever spoken to, or given any kind of instructions to - this belief is ludicrous at best. The Government tells us it is OK to do things morally wrong by their very actions every single day.  They set the examples and people follow willingly.   It has turned into a corrupt world, and God has had nothing to do with it.

That you personally have had no experience of God doesn't mean that others haven't. That you ridicule their testimony is a (rather low) form of argumentum ad ignorantium.  We agree on government's brutal, unethical nature, though.

I would like to hear about your personal correspondence with God.

I don't normally talk with people so eager to ridicule beliefs they don't share, and I really don't care about converting anyone. 80% of the people in the world are folks with whom I wouldn't care to spend eternity. You're welcome to your views.

I never ridicule, but try to enlighten people to differentiate between what is real and what is superstition or fantasy.

      Ergo the ludicrous comment.

God has sovereignty over the land, but God has also given authority to lawmakers and appointed officials. We are supposed to obey the laws of the land and those officials. But if that official is acting contrary to God's word, I say no.
