   "Can we all get along" and many others have asked the same Q I posted in the beginning, I say we don't really want to get along, tell me and others what do you think???

   No, we can't just all get along because to do so would require great compromise.  To put it in very simple terms:  if you and I are together painting a room. I might want the room painted green, you might want yellow.  But I hate yellow, absolutely abhor it - but if I am going to get along with you, then I will have to swallow what I want and agree to yellow-even though in my very soul, I hate it.
   
   Or you will need to agree with green.
   
   So now put that on a global level: differences in religion, societal differences, cultural beliefs--an endless list.  Someone will always have to subjugate themselves in order to get along and well...we human beings don't like not having our way.  So while it sounds fatalistic, no I do not believe that we can all just get along. It is a very complex issue.

      I don't know who told you that in order to get along we have to agree on everything. About ur e.g. ; we don't have to agree on one color, we can paint the room with two colors, or we can agree on a third color that we both find suitable.

      Knowing human nature and having lived for over 60 years tells me that not all people want to compromise and choose that "3rd color."  Yes, some will want to compromise and get along, even if they disagree but not everyone will want to do that.

      Well some WILL want to get along, but then of course there are always those that won't and just a few who DON'T want peace, or contentment can ruin it for others.  Multiply those few by the world population and therein is the problem.

      I agree, but why do you think some people don't want peace, I mean apart from arms dealers and big nations, why do you think some people continue their support for war???

      I wish I knew the answer to that. I've met people on occasion who live for drama and "stirring the pot" and I do not know what they get out of it.  But those people seem determined to spread chaos.

   No we can't. It's not cause we're bad people, there's just too many of us for all of us too care much about. It's called the Monkeysphere (or Dunbar's Number Theory).
