   Why do conservatives get upset with Jim Carrey?
   
   Jim Carrey is a has-been comedian who uploaded a short, Cold Dead Hand, which he said was a biting satire about guns and their supporters.  We all know he's liberal, we all know that it's one-sided.  He's also not respectful of Charleton Heston's memory or accomplishments.  Should we expect him to?  He's a comedian, why do so many people care?  His career is downhill, it's just a way to get some attention.  Relax folks.

   Conservatives don't know how to relax - ESPECIALLY when you're dishing out some hardcore criticism of their beloved guns. They say the reason is because he's actually a Canadian and has no right to comment on anything in American politics but really it comes down to... "You dissed our guns! Now you're going to get it!" I think it's all paranoia based. Sooo many conservatives think that with enough bad press someone's going to come and collect all their various weaponry. They know guns are causing children to die in school shootings and many many accidents but they don't want to admit this to themselves so instead it becomes this weird form of uber paranoia. Suddenly they all become pit bulls latched to a bone and not giving the slightest bit of way.
   
   In the end no one's coming for your guns, especially at the hand of a has-been comedian so chill. Life's not that hard.

      Personally I'll believe a gun "caused" children to die when the first one is put on trial for murder, and sentenced to a term in prison.

      Fine enough.... but I do not think as many children would die if say... they didn't have access to proper weaponry. I mean what is a spree shooter to do without a gun? Stab a few people? Throw some rocks? Surely the death count wouldn't be so high.

      We all know liberals are even more uptight.  Say 1 bad word about Obama & the lamestream media, hollywood, etc. become rabid.  I just don't think conservatives should get crazy over b-grade entertainers, it's not as if anyone's paying attention.

   I'm not upset with him. He's just a celebrity talking about politics. I tend to ignore celebrities. But he does have good jokes every once in a while.

   Most of these conservatives you speak of aren't even really conservatives. They are just people who want there guns. It doesn't even matter who made the video. The fact that Jim Carrey did it, makes no difference. They got mad for the same reason everyone else gets mad...mockery. That's all, people just do not like being mocked. That's the same reason gay and lesbian rights activist get mad when you  call them gay.  They are obviously not mad that they are gay. They are mad because you are mocking them. People pretty much don't like jerks is what I am saying.

   I find it the satire hilarious as a gun owner. Damn people get offended by everything these days. They can say anything about anybody but when you say something about them, they come after you. Typical hypocrites (can be either Liberals and Conservatives) with nothing better to do.
