Where oh where are all the Patriots who will restore the US of A ?

Why have so many citizens abandoned the structure created and methodology behind the design of Constitution?  Has the nation  become a horde of complacent deniers?

Where was the time where US citizens worrying about governmental stands and policies were demonstrating violently or peacefully? We became dull and complacent. What are we waiting for to express our disagreement? Maybe the green light?

I am not waiting - I write my congress every week and demand that they work as a single unit.  The Speaker of the House should be the most powerful position of the land, because that person speaks for every citizen.  Patriots must restore this nation

We work to make a living. We pay taxes and we raise babies. And we love our people. We argue about guns. We talk with our neighbors. We go to houses of worship and we vote.
We live by the constitution and we swear to uphold rights of every, child, widow, homosexual, heterosexual, atheist and Islamist. We plant trees and oil our weapons, we eat good food and we follow the law with illegal immigrants.
We are ready to uphold the sanctity of our nation and the morals upon which it stands even though they shift. We send our children off to war and others off the college and others off to coal mines. After 8 generations we are all brothers and Native Americans.

Where in the heck do you think we are?

Great answer.  We the people are the patriots and always have been, sometimes more active than other, but we have always been here.

Dear Eric,  I love your answer, but am sorry to report that you are currently voicing the ethics and stature of the minority.  In the American society today, more people want to get the ride free...............or support those who do.

taburkett, Go out and talk to them. I admit much is lipservice as they slink back inside and revert. I admit much is not intellectually built. But when I ask my local children what they want to be, it is awesome. Nary a onesays they want a free ride.

Eric, wonderful to hear that a local community has children who want to earn their way.  However, America spends over $700 billion in support of welfare.  Why? because a downtrodden and controlled society is great for politicians. thus status quo

My point is, is that that is not ruling the day on playgrounds and perspective. Somehow those parents stuck in the welfare rut, still teach the children not to be. Create opportunities and we will fill them.

We are already here.  And, it is *finally* being restored, despite the obstructionists.

I am not sure I can agree that the nation is being restored.  I still believe the nation is on the path to destruction, because the leadership is unwilling to compromise and continues to divide the citizens.  A divided American society will perish

Being a Patriot is one of the profile hits of being a terrorist in these post 9-11 days and it is not getting any better when the Terrorist Identities Datamart Environment (TIDE),  sweeps up thousands of names, aliases, birth dates, and other potential terrorist tidbits – known as "derogatory information" – and tries to match them with hundreds of thousands of names, faces, and identifying biometric data also sent in by the Central Intelligence Agency, the State Department, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and other US agencies.

According to FBI profiling, the mere act of writing this makes me a target for surveillance. Or paying for my coffee with cash.
When lawful patriots asserting their natural rights such as free speech is curtailed such as 'freedom cages' during political conventions and profiled as homegrown terrorists, when drone strikes to kill U.S. citizens on American soil is 'legal' then the nation is not being restored but destroyed.

The following may get ANYBODY labeled as a “suspected terrorist” today: valuing online privacy, being Christian, reverent of individual liberty,  a belief that one’s personal and/or national “way of life” is under attack - like THIS question!
