Who cares more for our national interest, Liberals or Conservatives?

It's not a matter of Party. Which political agenda seems to care most what our kids and grand kids will eventually inherit when we're long gone?

I think both parties equally care for our National interests, but the priorities are different. Liberals are more inclined to "break the mold" by offering advancement opportunities to a wider group of people. Conservatives are more geared to preserving the tried and true values of a strong work ethic and National pride. In looking at our current situation, I'd say we are making the future for our kids one that is saddled w/ astronomical debt and high taxes. Regardless of good intentions, it is bad practice to spend monies we don't have. We are undermining the very foundations that have made us strong.

Obviously neither cares more than the other, both obviously care deeply and just have different opinions on what a good future for our kids and grand kids constitutes.
Liberals would like to see high quality of life in line with leftist Scandinavian nations, lots of education opportunities, a stable environment etc.
Conservatives would like to see old world religious values, strong private enterprise etc.
The question no one can agree on is who is better at it.

Neither care about anything but buttering their own bread and filling their own pockets. Both are horrifically corrupt and one can find the proof in every piece of pork filled legislation that comes down the line.
The only thing that they both are good at is keeping the public from learning what is really in these ripe turds they foist off as "good for the nation".
Need more proof just look at the decline of America over the last 100 years. And it only gets worse with each passing year no matter which is in power.

In my humble opinion, neither care about the American people any longer. They care more about getting their way and their own agenda. It has become like a boxing match on capitol hill. It has become entirely too personal. Votes are made on feelings instead for the good of the American people.

If you're talking about the leaders of the parties in Washington DC, than neither of them care with a few exceptions.  If you mean their constituents, then both likely care equally.  It's just a question of the method to produce the best result.

Liberals more often believe that gov't policy can socially engineer the results they seek. I have always found this perplexing, as both liberals and conservatives acknowledge the inherent corruption in political figures and the political process both here in the US and globally...yet they want to empower these figures further.

Conservatives on the other hand lean more towards individual liberty a minimal gov't intervention into the lives of citizens.  And allowing the individual to pursue the result they seek.  They believe gov't should serve only the services that cannot be provided for privately.  Courts of law, military, law enforcement etc.  But ultimately, the goal of prosperity is the same.  It's just a question of how you plan to achieve this. And which is the more practical solution.
