Where would our economy be without crime?
From a parking ticket, to an execution, what would happen to us as a country if we went one year without crime? In some sick way, should we thank criminals for keeping food on our tables?
Not really. The cost to 'house' a criminal along with his/her trial is crazy, and easily out does the price of parking tickets etc.
I think you missed my point, but thank you for responding.
I guess I missed it too because I thought crime cost money. You might need to elaborate more by writing a Hub.
I may Mklow1. Using niazar's examples only, how many people does that employ? How many cities are funded by fines? How many people does it take to build and operate the housing? See where I'm going with this? You're right! Question is too vague.
I just realized the question now so apologies about the previous comment. There are far too many factors to note here, but I think the bottom line is if we spent a year w/out crime it would help the economy rather than hurting it.
