What happened to our freedom?
North America was settled by people who wanted to live freely, according to their beliefs. However, now the governments of Canada, USA and Mexico control every aspect of our lives. How did this happen? Can we change it back to the way it was supposed to be?
I am of the opinion that we get what we deserve. Turtle Island (North America) was inhabited by people (First Nations) when the Europeans invaded. We took away their freedoms, engaged in genocide and locked them up on concentration camps/reserves.
With this in mind, can anyone think that the basis of a country built in such a manner can turn-out good? We are all mirrors to one another, says an American Indian proverb. Let's learn now what lack of freedom means so we do not do it to others again.
All the best!
P.S. Honor the Treaties, Help your First Nations brothers and sisters and things will change for the better.
Mr. Happy, you're on to something wonderful. Perhaps we should extend that love to all people, including the psychopathic elite who are using selfishness and ego to destroy America.
Not unless the general public starts paying attention to what is actually happening. Unfortunatly, most people don't care enough to pay attention.
It's not about paying attention. Everyone knows what's happening, but they just shrug and move on. If the revolutionists from early America saw the cowardice of the American people today, they'd be rolling in their graves.
Good, geordmc. Kyle, I disagree. Not everyone knows. Many are still in denial. They hear of something the media labels as "conspiracy theory" and they automatically turn away from it. That's more than merely shrugging.
government happened. the thing is, it always gets out of control even when it starts off being a good form of one. now they control so much of our lives. but there is no way around it. my favorite quote from our first president
"Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master."
You talk about Government as others talk about Corporations and/or the Market, as independent entities. Come on now - the government is Us, we vote Human Beings in the Government. So, just say it: we are the problem to losing our freedom - gave it up
If we come from love, we will attempt to turn it back to a loving, peaceful America.
But we will also forgive those who have corrupted America -- not only the psychopathic elite, but the sheep who follow them without question.
If we want freedom, then we need to give freedom. Like Mr. Happy said, take responsibility for the freedoms we have taken from others.
When we found out that the WMDs were a lie, did we say to Iraq, "Oops, sorry," and leave? No, we continued to do atrocities and to make it worse. We continued to stay. Even though we supposedly left, we're still there. Our Obama is so much a liar. So was Bush.
I think one thing that needs to happen is for people to become aware of 9/11. That was such a big, pivotal event. So much of the tyranny is using 9/11 as its excuse.
But 9/11 was an inside job. Take these simple facts into mind:
* WTC7 fell at perfect free fall for the first 8 floors.
* Free fall means Zero resistance.
* Solid steel Never offers Zero resistance.
There was solid steel in the building holding it up, but it fell at free fall. The only way for this to happen is controlled demolition. The only way for controlled demolition to happen in that building is for months of preparation to have been done. And because there were so many high security government agencies as tenants in WTC7 (including the CIA), 9/11 was an inside job. Simple. Obvious!
Help people wake up. Help them to stop knee-jerk reactions to government stimuli. Help them to stop being egos which the psychopathic elite are playing like a symphony.
That is the first step.
OK, so we elect our government. We feel that perhaps "That person" is better than the rest...then he/she ends up being just as bad or worse than the previous. So what do we do? We are at a breaking point now. We have lost our rights and freedoms. What are we going to do about it? Will there be a revolt and we the people take our government back like we have seen our politicians do and encourage in other countries? Or have we become too lazy and are we just going to let the government do to us like George Orwell wrote about in 1984?
There will be another financial crash in the next year or two maximum. That will be much worse than the 2008 one and things will be much different afterwards. The apathy has to go and also the partisanship. We have to start working with one another.
The freedom "as it was supposed to be" included children, wives and slaves as property. It is like saying the old testament kings were caring loving mass murderers. Times change and we rewrite and rewrite history. I would not feel comfortable with the old white male notion of freedoms.
With that pointed out I definitely think that we are only as free as we act and defend. Up the freeway they just banned electronic cigarettes in public and a ways further they banned smoking in your bedroom. Did you know I am not free to work for someone for 6$s an hour. If my parents were in a senior community and owned a 400K$ townhouse, I could not move in to care for them. Jackson Hole Wy. just banned Christmas stuff until a week before Christmas.
One thing is cool, I moved out of the city and into the county. There are about 200 less permit requirements here to live your life. And now my children have to help pay for my wild living in my younger days by paying higher premiums than me for health insurance. Maybe not motive for murder but still.
Hey now do not forget about the Christian cake baker who now may be ordered to make cakes for gay weddings.

What one freedom (in America) do you consider to be the MOST important? As Americans we have many "freedoms" and rights. Which do you consider to me the most important either in your own life or overall, in general?

It seems that people are distracted nowadays by whatever current story is on every news station, what new movie's coming out, or whatever. With everything being done to seemingly make us safer, it seems that nobody cares about the freedoms that we once had.

Have you heard the rumor that the government is manipulating the weather to control the election?Do you believe it? If you think it's true, can you explain?

There have been numerous plans in American history for the government to murder American citizens for political gain.I seriously doubt that the Operation Northwoods document is the only tangible, direct evidence of such evil. That document lay hidden and classified for 35 years before it was...
