Third world is lagging . Should EU role model for development ? Yes it can be tried.
I am an Indian and enjoy freedom of expression in world's largest democracy.there are 150 underdeveloped nations, struggling to develop but lagging weak social and economic set up and non democratic. How to change mindset? Indian democracy is over restrictions and blocked development despite many favorable factors.Quality governance as in Singapore Asian city-state, we can follow.India claims freedom of expression but economic or business freedom is less compare to other nations.corrupt bureaucracy and politicians could not build country as expected.this story repeats in other countries too.
I've always been surprised that India still has such poor infrastructure. There are so many brilliant Indians here in the States doing amazing work, it's a weird dichotomy. Is India too big to manage? How much do religious/cultural differences get in the way? I have heard that the Caste system is still an issue as well. Corruption is endemic in a lot of nations but India is an emerging power, so it surprises me that it continues to be a problem. Any model from the West will do, but I worry that India may be too diverse to develop into a unified force on the world stage.
Education ( Higher education that can arise awareness in citizens), power to think oneself about the fare & evil, strict legal actions, fresh-learned-innovative-honest-helping leaders etc can make India grow fast.
