Why don't the Israelis get out of the West Bank?
I am only curious and do not mean to offend anyone.
The West Bank was captured in 1967 during the six Day War. This war was not started by Israel, but by Jordan and Egypt. As the US took the 13 Colonies from Britain through a war, should they be returned to Britain?
Why should your question offend anyone?
It's the nature of war and conquest. The Israeli government felt is had a reason to invade and hold the land. It did and it is expanding its colonies. That's just war.
I disagree with cjhunsinger's analogy with the US. We did not invade or "take" the 13 colonies from Britain. We were already in the colonies and we kicked Britain out. A better analogy would be the US conquest of the Nueces Strip from Mexico in 1846. Will we or should we ever give that back? I would say we should not have taken it in the first place. But once we did, after 170 years, there is no point in giving it back.

A poll was carried out recently by Haaretz, Israels rough equivalent of the New York Times. Unfortunately, the paper uses a pay wall online so the following report is from the Guardian newspaper. "More than two-thirds of Israeli Jews say that 2.5 million Palestinians living in the West...

On the question of who occupied the West Bank first, Jews or ? (Arabs or Muslims)? Which ist it?I always just assumed we were talking about Muslims vs Jews in the fight over who settled the land called the West Bank (and Ghaza) today. Upon reflection I am no longer sure and am thinking it...

This is what it was leading to from the beginning. That's why I've been speaking out so much on this protest against the Mosque being built at Ground Zero. It was always a masked attempt to give a free hand to the Dregs of our society. A few of the 9/11 families have given the racist...

In this propagandist campaign in the New York subway, is it Israel or America the client (the American Freedom Defense Initiative), the citizens should feel concerned? And why would this be? Who are the savage if not Israel? Who are the civilized man? Isn't it a colonialist language? Why would we...
