    What if we called "race relations" in the U.S., human relations?

    In lieu of the events in Ferguson, Missouri in the last year, much has been said about "race relations." Human beings are involved. Simple terminology...hmmmm.....

    Good idea, and in past situations some have tried, but the media and others who manipulate people groups who are vulnerable to manipulation won't have it.

      I wonder if there's a possibility of a "grass roots" campaign for this change in semantics and possibility of contributing to human rights in the U.S. Both Chris Rock and Charles Barkley have had some interesting responses to the events in Ferguson.

    My response may sound naive, but, I believe, if individuals make an effort to use the term human relations vs race relations, one, of many efforts for equality among Americans, will be set in motion. It's all a process of deliberate steps toward seeing all Americans as equal human beings. It will take time. It's taken time to get where we are; doing away with fear and prejudice is generational.
