What would you suggest to the President's committee on good community relations with their police?
My own suggestion would be that police forces should reflect the nature of the community as to percentages of women, males, minorities, etc., and should live in the communities they police.
Ferguson did not even come close to such a balance.
Add your own suggestions, such as the recent suggestion to use body cameras to detect possible racial bias early and correct it, etc.
I would suggest they tell the citizens of the community that they have the power through voting for the people that can set the police policy that they would like to see in their community.
This is not a federal issue.
I would suggest they teach people respect. Respect foremost for themselves, then for their families, then for the community at large. Police are people and they carry guns; if you have no respect for people who carry guns you need to be educated.

I still think comments should be comments, not discussions, that is the purpose of a forum. Maybe it would be a good idea that every author has a forum automatically made in a widget on there profile page and the topics are always the title of the Hub. That way you can discuss it and always edit...
