A middle class couple earns $200,000 thousand dollars a year
Their mortgage is $3000 per month
Medical insurance is $1000 per month
    Food is $400 per month
If they are sending one child to private school that would cost $500 per month
Car payments and car insurance is $250 per month
O K their expenses might be about $6000 per month
    12 x 6000 =$72000
They have to pay taxes at the rate of 13%=$26,000
Now one member in the marriage loses his or her job
    The equation has just changed
One member in the relationship has to pay all of the bills alone
They will survive for a while, but arguments start taking its toll on them
They get a divorce, the house gets foreclosed, they file for bankruptcy, they live with family members, move into homeless shelters.
This is a process that happens everyday in society
It is the lost of middle class jobs that plunge the middle class into a state of poverty.

Agreed. This same scenario plays out in ALL classes, bit comsequeces are greatest in lower classes, differences more stark . EVERYONE is scraping by and I 'be seen a different side of life- and it not rejeuvenating!

By your numbers above, there is no good reason why a family earning 200k per year should end up like you stated. The real problem here is that their expenses are way too high. By making a few changes, that family could have been fine.

I have in front of me written on a piece of paper three sentences.  I don't believe in coincidences.  I was meant to see this question and answer it, hence the piece of paper right before me was there because it was meant to be.   The message comes from a Abraham-Hicks presentation which I noted down some days ago.  Here is what those sentences say:

"You point of attraction causes you to rendezvous with things that are like you."
"A belief is just a habit of thought."
"It's real because you believe it."

Take from that what you will.  But don't be in too much of a hurry to just switch it off as some sort of nonsense.   Read, digest, ponder, reflect...

We have exhausted our savings though no fault of our own.
We have paid rent/mortgage/taxes on time like model citizens
We are getting smaller in number, while the class above us, gets larger
We are one paycheck or one medical calamity away from financial meltdown/ruin.
We have no choice but to accept ACA; we don't want it, but can't afford anything else.

We saw this coming and our leader saw this coming and  could have taken a few steps toward preventing it, but was in over his head. Now, we  have no choice but to ask for your help. Something that s not fair, after all you worked JUST as hard for your money, but that's socialism.
