What are some among the population creating hyperbolic conclusions regarding advancements
in technology for the betterment of humankind i.e. the implantation of microchips in our bodies for medical and health reasons if we can't be readily identified? Why do some erroneously conclude that this microchilp implantation is a harbinger of the so-called 666 phenomena?
Oh come now, Grace. You understand problem-reaction-solution. Consensus breeds reality. In order to CAUSE what the bible calls the apocalypse, first you write the story and indoctrinate the masses. Then you introduce the technology. Then you have fear mongers promote the idea that the technology is what was prophesized. Then you have 'hackers' steal identities to promote the idea that the technology is necessary. Then the 'gods' as it were sit back and enjoy the show. Without conflict, there's no story. Without antagonists, there's no protagonists. Without villains there's no heroes. How boring that would be.

hyperbolic conclusions than to use inductive and deductive logic to analyze and assess events, circumstances, and occurrences? What makes some people believe in totally illogical, even hyperbolic conspiracies and inane conclusions, even pointless superstitions?

This article from the Guardian is well worth reading. The info about multi-tasking isn't new, but keep reading and there's some really illuminating stuff about the changes brought about by email vs snail mail, and especially the bit at the end about why completing small tasks online is...
