What is one important thing you've learned from someone you couldn't stand?
How to duck a punch! How to avoid being stalked with consummate skill. How to hold the groceries in one hand while using a smart phone camera.
That my unwillingness to accept that they have a right to be who they are causes me way more mental and emotional anguish than they will ever feel! This realization helped me to seek understanding on a deeper level. I started to ask my self why I "can't stand them"? Is it because I notice a prominent character defect that we both share and I am currently struggling to let go of that defect in my own life? In the beginning it is so hard for me to be completely honest to myself about my true feelings and more importantly where those feelings stem from! This has lead to SOOOOO much growth and a deeper level of understanding of myself as well as others.
