Did you know that civilians in Mexico have taken up arms to fight the drug cartels?
According to these auto defense fighters, the Mexican government is supporting the cartels in many areas of Mexico. These cartels are not only shipping drugs across the US border, but they are also killing, beheading, dismembering, and stealing from local Mexican Civilians.
Were you aware of this?
The better understanding is that the Mexican government at local and regional levels is essentially bought and owned by the cartels. I remember a Cracked.com article where they talked about cartels advertising as paying better and having better food than the Mexican military, as well as their bribes being better than police pay.
In this regard, people are fighting the dominant warlords who kill those who stand in the way of power and profit - and the official government is in the pocket of the cartels.
