When you say "Obama has ruined this country," can you explain why you feel that way?

There is no denying that the nation is divided into the right and left side. The right side, more so, tends to say suck things as "He is the most divisive President," and "He is the worst president in the history". There is never an accompanying explanation of why the person feels the way they do.

Withdrew all the troops from Iraq and indirectly created ISIS, or allowed them to form.  Supplied them with US weapons and tanks.  Racially divided America into black versus white.

I understand, but again, how? Do you have credible sources? Keyword, indirectly. The rest is a mere opinion.

First of all ?s like this are a set stage, but any comments on it are not necessarily from the other party. I don't favor either party, as neither one of them has had any solutions, but both of them contribute to the problems.

And one doesn't have to say that Obama ruined the country to make comments on how he didn't help the country.

The fact is that the US has been in a decline since the 70s, and it is the result of both parties working against each other because their goals or very different. Yet, we have one country, and we need both parties to pull in the same direction.

    1. Obama spent the first two years with a democrat controlled congress, and instead of working on the economy, controlling the financial industry that caused the economic meltdown, and helping the victims of that industry, he went into a total reformation of Health Insurance.

The numbers on the economy, jobs, and other indicators today, don't tell the story of all those people that went jobless, homeless, and lost much if not all of their savings. Saving that jobs are good today, doesn't help those original victims. Many couldn't find a job, and they eventually stopped looking and that takes them off the job statistics.

The financial industry took the bailout money and their executives gave themselves 7 figure bonuses. That was taxpayer money to executives that bankrupted their own company, and then gave themselves bonuses??

The bailout money given to the banks were not loaned back to the victims of the banks real estate Ponzi scheme. In fact, for the longest time, the money was just horded by the banks.

The banks then didn't allow the OKs on the many of the short sales by their loan customers who were put under water on their ridiculous loans. Many of these customers lost their homes, and because there was a lot of Equity Loans on these homes, the customers having these loans that were forgiven by the banks, then owed taxes on those forgiven amounts.

These financial institutions were the ones that needed a Reform as they were too big for the government to control. Many of the companies like AIG were spread all around the world, and they had to be saved, otherwise the companies in other countries would fail as well.

Yes, we had to bailout these companies, but we didn't have to reward them, and we had the leverage to reform them. We didn't do that, but Obama had the congress under his control and chose not to even address it.

I have much more on other areas, but running ou

Also the SC has found 13 times that pres Obama exceeded his constitutional authority.

Obama helped break the checks and balances provided by the three branches of the US gov by trying to be 2 of the 3 branches himself.

Obama grew the national debt dollar wise more than any other president.  Of the 19 trillion America is in debt, He added $6.167 trillion, a 53% increase, in his first six years. Obamacare is a clear failure - everyone is not insured, most of the state exchanges are failing, and prices have risen in direct contrast to what he claimed.  He has failed to enforce immigration law.  His foreign policy is a disaster, failing in the Middle East with the Arab Spring which gave rise to ISIS, distanced America from Russia, and weakens us as a nation globally.  Real unemployment, not the figures used for PR, is in the double digits. He gambled on green energy and lost big time.  Home foreclosures are at an all time high.  His personal and family vacations have cost more than any other President in history.  Real median income has dropped by 4000 dollars since he's been in office. Food stamp and welfare rolls have climbed by over ten million. America was downgrade from AAA status for the first time ever.

Mr. Schwartz, you are right about the national debt. I have a question. Do you think that our nation could lower the debt by taxing the one percent instead of giving then tax cuts?
In response to Obamacare- "Goldman Sachs estimates that total coverage under the ACA increased by 13 to 14 million last year and may have increased by another 4 million during the first five months of 2015, for a total coverage increase of 17 to 18 million combined. At a top line, this coincides with the figure from RAND, which estimated that there were 22.8 million newly insured people since the launch of the ACA. At the same time, 5.9 million people lost coverage. This comes out to a net gain of 16.9 million lives" as stated on Forbes.com
Not everyone is insured but everyone not insured is paying a penalty!
Foreign policy and immigration law- he has inherited a mess and he did pull troops out. Now, of course ISIS took advantage. Can't blame him directly. The immigration laws are still the same, putting a two year waiting list on anyone who wants to come in.
Unemployment,as stated by the Bureau of Labor is below 5% which is all we can really go by. How do you think this should be recorded?

I disagree with the notion of taxing a selected group of people, despite how wealthy the 1% is, it's not their burden to finance the nation  We simply need to cut spending and run the gov't more efficiently.

The 1% have the IRC to min their taxes. Income Tax cause the disparity of wealth. It sb replaced entirely by a National Sales Tax similar to State Sales tax.

Most people with ACA ins have opted to very high catastrophic deduc, healthcare Qual is LOW

I partially agree. However, corporations and the wealthy get tax cuts. Warren Buffet pays less taxes then his secretary! Trump stated "I fight like hell to pay almost nothing in taxes". Reform in order?

Does anyone remember the IRS scandal?  Read about Lois Lerner and what the IRS did.  He encouraged using the IRS to suppress his political adversaries. That is a very bad president.  Benghazi is a horror story.  Obama went to the UN and on national television and blamed the incident on a YouTube video.  We now know because of Hillary Clinton's Emails, that he knew the truth and blatantly lied. His inaction killed people.  His desire to speak down police has led to many more problems that we can understand.  The treatment of veterans under his term is something we can all feel shame about.  Yeah, he has changed the country to one where police are bad, the IRS can be used to squash political rivals, we fear Muslims and make excuses for their terrorist acts and we should be ashamed of success.  His presidency will be looked upon as quite a bad time in our country's history by those who can look at the facts and be honest.

Do you think that any of his actions or inaction's are a direct result of the GOP's unwillingness to work with him?

Brad... How many times have the members of the congress tried to repeal Obamacare? How many times have thry intentionally voted against his decisions even though they may have agreed with him anyway?

Brad. Appreciate your input. I am not asking about Benghazi. I am asking about the congress. I don't care about Hillary! This is a debate, not an opportunity to dumb someone down. I try to understand both sides and don't get personally offended.

Does anyone grasp the concept of "leadership?" See, a real leader would find a way to get the Congress and Senate to work with him. A community organizer can only blame those who don't agree with him.  We need a leader and soon.

I made a mistake, I should name the person whose comment I am addressing. We were talking about two different comments. And I have no problem if someone wants to delete my responses.
But, I try to stay away from making it personal.
