Does the current Hillary Clinton email scandal remind you of the Bill Clinton scandals of 1996?

It seems to me history is repeating itself. I think the way this scandal is being investigated and unfolded is very similar to the Bill Clinton scandal of 1996. The MO is the same. First denial, then delay and then overwhelm with incidental details that detract from the main crime. Finally, wear out the American public's patience and that was how MOVEON.org was born. The argument is that no one cares and just move on....The FBI is acting like an advocate and the Conservative media pundits are playing along. I see story after story that indictment is imminent. I stand to be corrected.

In a way. What is striking to me is that Monica Lewinsky was given full immunity just like Clinton's computer guy. This type of immunity has been given only twice in U.S. history. The other was a Mafia guy. This means that the FBI has the goods on Hillary and she will be indicted.
Of course, Obama will pardon her, but the indictment may take a toll on her ability to govern. There's a good chance Trump might win anyway. The angry white voters are the majority and this election year, they're all voting.

Obama is no friend of Hillary. They are only convenient bed fellows in this political farce. It seems she will get away with this because the law does not apply to her. Her delay tactics is working as Bill did in 1996. American people short memory

She will be indicted, but the Dems won't worry about it. Rather, they will blame "right wing" conservatives.

Jack, the big difference is that the press covered Bill Clinton's scandal. This email scandal is being swept under the rug.  Not surprising. I don't think Conservative media pundits are playing along. There is only so much they can do to alert the public.  Neither is the FBI. They can present it to the Justice Department, but can't act on it.  You have a compliant media. That's our fault.

We're gonna have our first President with an intelligence breach. And one who apparently is very uncomfortable around the military.  It's going to get weird.   Yikes.

You are right, but what I mean by Conservative media playing along is that they seem to believe that the FBI is doing its job and that Hillary will be indicted sooner or later. My point is that they are either fools or ignorant about what is going on

Good point.  You're right. Many commenters have convinced themselves that an indictment is coming. They're delusional.

No the Hillary email scandal  don't remind me of the Bill Clinton sex scandal. Dennis Hastert's scandal reminds me that he was guilty of far worst sexual crimes then Bill at the time he called for Bill to be impeached. As far as Hillary's email scandal there are more then likely many more in government that is guilty of improper use of their emails and text. I think Hillary's email and Benghazi investigations are just Witch Hunts by teaparty operatives and far right winged Conservatives.

Right, it is the right wing Obama Administration conducting the investigation with over 100 FBI agents paid by our taxes...You are so biased that you don't even know what is right and left anymore.

the current GOP has not been conservative for a long time. That is why they despise ted Cruz and the TEA party. Your assertion that they are going after Hillary is fantasy. The DOJ is the arm of Obama and they oversee the FBI.

The  GOP has been  driven by Conservatives since Reagan invited them into the GOP as a Southern strategy. Old schooled Republicans hate Cruz & the TP.Oldschoolers are not going After Hillary it's those who came in 2010 they've turned on the GOP t

Of course. It's the same right wing operatives behind it all. She was right about the vast right wing conspiracy. In fact, there's a name for it: Gladio. I mean, I have to wonder why Rove was allowed to delete 22 million e mails on private server, and no hearings. Powell, Rice used private server, no hearings. And if you recall, when they were impeaching Clinton for lying to Congress, half of them had to resign, cause they had cheated on their wives too! Then, of course, after 9/11, George and Dickles were allowed to testify without being under oath!
Know why? Repubs were in charge then, and they're in charge now. Only dems get hearings. And especially Bill and Hill. More Benghazi bs for 4 dead than the 3,000 Bush and Cheney killed!  It's called Gladio, and it has ruled our policy whenever we have right wingers in positions of power. Now they're gunning for it all, just like 2000-2006. Hold on to your kids and your money....they want it ALL
