What country's military has intervened in more countries than any other country in the world?
There's no other country in the world that has intervened in so many foreign countries.
Supposedly a Democratic country, it used it's military to massacre of it's own people. No massacre since comes close in size.
Used it's military to force it's own people off their lands, so gold could be mined by "friends" of the government. The military forced the citizens to march 100's of miles, most dying during the march. The trail they took is now called "The Trail of Tears".
Which country is it?
You are right, Poppy.
Most imperialistic and invading country, bar none.
Used the military for the biggest massacre in U.S. history at Wounded Knee
Trail of Tears killed thousand forced marched by the military,
USA is number one!!
Cheers
ISIS and Boko Haram have sex slaves today; ISIS has sex slave markets NOW.
Several like Indonesia are caning women for holding a boyfriend's hand in violation of Islamic law, while many of those nations jail rape victims and execute homosexuals.
Let's focus on real oppression that is affecting the world today, not bash the US for oppression that happened generations ago.
You think the U.S. is not oppressing the people in Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen, Saudi Arabia and other countries?
Might want to look up the word. You really think Iraq is in better shape than 20 years ago?
Cheers
You can't blame Muslims beheading Buddhist school teachers in Thailand and Burma or beating Christians in Indonesia on the West. Islam conquered every nation it dominates except Indonesia, and the faith and political system join to oppress.
Tamara,
Most people in America have no idea of the far reach of Imperialism from U.S. They don't understand why so many countries hate us.
The U.S. rarely "helps" a county- Iraq, Vietnam, are good examples.
We've supported vile people many times.
The U.S.A is not the most imperialistic country "bar none.", not even close. You should check the definition of imperialism. Wounded Knee is not the greatest massacre in US History. It is not even the greatest Native American massacre in US History.
Let me know if you need help checking facts and definitions.
Imperialism - policy of extending a country's power and influence through diplomacy or military force. Fits the U.S. to a T
We can agree to disagree on WK.
Cheers

Just a thought. Who knows how this thread will go.As I mentioned in a Fourth-of-July thread, a Boston television station had a piece about how 40% of 18- to 29- year olds surveyed didn't know why Americans celebrate the Fourth-of-July. I don't think most people would expect most...

Most predominate religious countries are more war like, yet Religions claim they have the higher moral grounds. What is the reason for our country's gigantic amount of debt? What do you think causes the most 'damage'?- Illegal Immigrants and the loss of taxes/amount of money paid to them for welfare type programs (that are not covered by the taxes they pay since they don't pay taxes)?- The money spend on...

President Barack Obama Monday told Americans his actions had stopped a “massacre” in Libya, but warned a military campaign to oust Muammar Qadhafi could repeat the bloodshed and misery of Iraq.Obama mounted a firm defense of his decision to launch air strikes and launch a no-fly zone as part of an...
