A fun political question: What advice do you have for President-Elect Donald Trump?
Fun, for a change... You step into an elevator. Donald Trump, along with two tough-looking secret security guys rush in just before the doors close. Trump, being in love with his own voice, just has to talk to you. You either jump with glee inside or force yourself to resist punching him in the face - risking death by SS squad - or maybe you just sigh. Of course, you exchange small pleasantries. (I like your tie.) Then, it seems like the perfect moment comes to give him your best piece of heartfelt (as opposed to mean!) advice before the ride ends. You have 250 characters. Go!
Always remember, Mr. Trump, you are not in office by the will of the people. Thank the Electoral College for that. You know you can't keep most of your campaign promises, so now earn the respect of all Americans, supporters or not. Good luck.
That can't happen until the political left drops its mantle of rational, love, tolerance, good and smearing all conservatives as stupid, evil, hateful bigots - before physically attacking conservatives or random whites "in the name of fighting hate"
I don't believe in summary dismissals or tolerance instead of acceptance. I have yet to hear of physical attacks from those actually a part of the political left, but some have used the Trump victory to let their bigotry show. Trump's a bigot, too.
We don't do that, T - that is a media perception; and I'm surprised you can't see that by now. Go look into the mirror, say those words again and listen to yourself. This is supposed to be a question for both sides. Neither side is 'the bad guys'
1. Forget the wall. Just finish the fence and visit Mexico.
2. Jobs, jobs, jobs
3. Putin is a bad guy (more of a statement, but true)
Remember, you're no longer a civilian & can't say what you feel! You have to APPEAR you are for ALL "the people!" Therefore, THINK before you speak necessitating "second tweet!"
Russia may have gotten you here but don't let them take you out!
I was trying to keep the answers short, cuz I know there are lots of people who would like to hand Trump a book, ha! A little over is no big deal. This scenario was inspired by an answer that came to me while I was asking myself a similar question:
Keep your daughter Ivanka, close. She seems to have a good head on her shoulders; and she also seems to be more connected to 'women' than you are. We girls also generally-like Melania, especially her 'no more mean words' speech. Keep both of them as close & serious advisors; and actually listen to them once in a while - especially on the important things.
Nah, I wouldn't want to hit him - I really wouldn't.
Starting the 'girl gossip'... Does his son Barron not have the perfect name; and is the cutest young man in those suits?! I've said this about Hillary, also: their kids probably say a lot about them; and Chelsea (somehow) turned out pretty cool, too.
Don't become the ruling class elites that were denounced and rejected this election. Washington and money has a way of corrupting people with the best of intentions. Don't be lured into it.
This perceived 'ruling class elite' crap is getting OLD. Anyone remember when GOP rich politicians were considered 'the elite'? Amazing century-flip. *I* am not a liberal nor an elitist. You 'denounced' nothing. Good people were intentionally duped.
My advice to Trump would be:
"If you ever seem to be winning an intellectual battle on HubPages against people with failed ideologies, they'll likely report your content, or delete their posts."
Fix the economy. Create jobs for educated, middle class Americans BUT LEAVE ROE vs. WADE ALONE. Women have rights to abortions & fought hard to have abortion rights.

So it's the final day. Let's be clear about the choice;Hillary Clinton is deeply unpopular. She may not be a nice person. There are so many negative reports about her, it is difficult to believe there is 'no smoke without fire.' However, some allegations are disproven, and most others are unproven...

I find it hard to believe that even people who voted for Donald Trump aren't starting to realize that there is something seriously wrong with him. He is either insane or such a narcissist that he's incapable of rational thought.Let's not even talk about his policies. Let's just discuss his...
